Indian capital hit by explosions
From BBC :-

Indian TV is broadcasting scenes of confusion
At least five people are feared dead and many wounded in two powerful explosions in busy markets in the Indian capital, Delhi.
Police say the first occurred in Paharganj, in the heart of the city.

The second took place in Sarojini Nagar, south of the city centre.

Rescue teams and police have rushed to the scenes. The markets were crowded with people shopping ahead of Diwali, the Hindu festival of lights.

There are also unconfirmed reports that there has been a third blast in another part of Delhi.

A police official, who wished to remain unnamed, told the BBC News Website that at least six to seven people died in the blast in Paharganj, and 40 others were injured.

It is not clear what caused the blasts although police suspect they were bomb attacks.

Many shops were damaged in the blasts.

"The blast was so powerful, my house shook," the Associated Press quoted Kiran Mohan, a photo editor who lives about 200 meters (650 ft) away from Sarojini market, as saying.

Ambulances, sirens blaring, rushed the injured to nearby hospitals.

Charred bodies

The BBC's Paul Danahar, who is at the site of the blast in Sarojini Nagar, says the scene in front of him is one of carnage and confusion.

At least three bodies, some of them badly charred, have been carried out of burning buildings by the police, our correspondent reports.

Most of the people affected were ordinary people out shopping in the festival season, he says.

Both the Hindu festival of Diwali and the Muslim festival of Id fall next week.

Reports from Paharganj say all roads to the blast site have been sealed.

The blast took place in an area close to the main railway station in Paharganj, which is frequented by Western budget travellers.

In May one person died and 49 were wounded by bombs at two Delhi cinemas - an attack blamed on Sikh militants.

A terrorist attack then. Its either extremists or Al-Qaeda, or possibly another group. This is happening all the time now.
