Alright, first of all. This isn't exactly news. Infact, it's not news at all. I was going to post it in the 'help' section but that's gone now. So, if a mod can find a more suitable place to put this, then please do. I apologies for any inconvenience (sp?) caused by this thread.

Anyway, I suppose a lot of people that've been hacked post here anyways.

Soo.. If you would like to perform a FREE spyware scan, please click onto the following address.

http://www.webroot.com/services/spyaudit_03.htm

Then, click 'Run Spy Audit' and click either Run or Save. (depends if you want it all the time or not). You will then go through a scan and it will come up as a webpage which harmful stuff you have on your PC. It's not a super-duper program though, considering it is free, but it's good, as it picked up my trojan ages ago.

I don't understand why someone with a post count as low as 6 would by VIP? Also what's the name of the tracking cookie?

Alright, you've confused me.

1. Why would Habbo give you a tracking cookie?
2. I'm pretty sure a tracking cookie is not a virus.

1. If you look in there Privacy thing it says they put cookies on your computer
2. It's not a virus it's spyware

I know as I've scanned my computer, delete all spyware then gone on habbo and scanned again and had this cookie

They would not be harmful though, and I don't think 'tracking' cookie is the right type. I may be wrong, but why would they use a tracking cookie? I thought that was where they can take your cookies which means passwords etc.. but that might be another name... I'm not sure.

Perhaps they are tracking cookies, but they are only to trace people who break the law such as by hacking Habbo Hotel. They are not harmful though.

spyware, adware and tracking cookies are mostly harmless all they do is collect information of what sites you go on, but harmless or not they are pests and should be removed, keyloggers the most dangous to habbo uses because it can get you passwords.

spysweeper will remove all these

Sorry for the late reply, but keyloggers are a type of spyware. :)

If you have a packet sniffer on your PC it may show up as a Trojan. Just so you don't worry.
