Want to see alot of monoliths down?

When I entered a room - I saw all the black monoliths down, and it looks so cool! what do u think, please click it to see it better

What are monoliths exactly and what do they do? I haven't really been up-to-date with any of this.

They are the new black monolith hatches, you double click it and it goes up wee and goes down wee..
they used to be in the cataloge but not any more
