The reason why i think it may be coming out this year is that in the article Callie says this:

It was only a suggestion and before when Callie puts in things like *winks* furni has come out afterwards. But it maybe, like someone said, just an attempt to get people to stock up. But when everyones bought credits they would be disapointed to find that its a boring tree :l

Well, he used his common sence, and to be honest I think theres a chance the tree may be released this year or whatever, but even if it's not who actually cares?

This is a rumour that a new peice of furniture will be released due to sufficient evidence which we have seen so far.
