Armada
Difficulty: Very easy
Time approximation: 1 month
Minimum commitment required: 2 minutes, 3 times a week for 4 weeks.
How to do it: "Thar she blows!" calls the caption of the ship. In a checkers like game, where you control a fleet of ships, you must outwit you opponent. To obtain the very cool looking trophy, first register your interest in the monthly multiplayer competition. Each competition runs for one month. When a new competition starts, NeoPet will automatically assign you to a playing ladder, and you will receive a neomail with instructions on how to log in and face your opponent. The beauty of this is, many people register to play, but many people forget about actually playing when the time comes. To combat this, Neopets installed an option to automatically win if your opponent has not moved after 24 hours. In the first 24 hours after your opponent has not moved, log into the game and click on "Move or Lose". Once another 24 hours has passed and your opponent has not responded, log in again and click on "I Win!" This will advance you to the next round. If you can complete this successfully three times, you will automatically be in the running for a bronze trophy. Win the finals and you'll receive the gold trophy!
Cons: Sometimes, you may be paired up with an actual competitor, so you'll have to duke it out the old way, by playing the game. If you don't receive the trophy on the first attempt, you will have to wait up to a month for the next competition to start.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Better Than You
Difficulty: Medium
Time approximation: 30 minutes
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Glitzy stages, game shows and a host with pearly white teeth, every other week or so, Neopets releases a brand new Better Than You which challenges you to beat one of its contestants at a game score. All you need to do is register your interest at the sign up desk and then proceed to whoop the contestants butt in the score. Send the score and you'll find yourself with a pretty cool trophy!
Cons: When the challenge is easy, it is not unlikely that the competition will end on the day it is released. As the competition only accepts a certain number of people to complete the task, you'll have to be quick off your feet. This trophy may also be a tad difficult for people who aren't very good with Neopets' games.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cellblock
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time approximation: 2 hours
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: "No way! This game is really hard!" you hear many people proclaim. Ahh, it may be, but what many people don't know, is that there is a certain strategy which will render your opponent defenseless, leaving you open to win the rounds like stealing candy from a baby (not that we endorse actually stealing candy from a baby!). If you go to www.pinkpt.com, click on 'Game Secrets' and then click on 'Cellblock Winning Strategy!' you'll have access to a strategy which will guarantee you win every time! Defeat all your opponents and Bob's your uncle!
Cons: The amount of rounds that you will have to pass in order to get a trophy is a lot. Even though you win every time, be prepared for a long haul to gain this nifty trophy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Cheat!
Difficulty: Fairly Easy
Time approximation: 2 hours
Minimum commitment required: One sitting.
How to do it: Ever played with cheaters? Well this game you will be forced to cheat! And what's more, you could even be the cheat yourself. For complete strategies to this game, take a look at Cheat game guides on www.pinkpt.com. While this game has no palpable method of winning (thus requiring you to actually play the game), advancing through the levels isn't very difficult. Catching the cheaters in this game isn't very difficult either. Just remember, that sometimes it pays to cheat just so you can receive the center pile.
Cons: Not many cons with this trophy. It's a nice give me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Defenders of Neopia
Difficulty: Very Easy
Time approximation: 2 minutes
Minimum commitment required: One sitting.
How to do it: Could it be a bird, plane, animal, vegetable or mineral? Fancy being a hero? Visit the Defenders of Neopia Headquarters for your assignment. Find the opponent and defeat him/her in the battledome and you'll have your trophy once you return to headquarters!
Cons: Not many cons with this trophy. It's a nice give me.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Geos
Difficulty: Easy
Time approximation: 1 month
Minimum commitment required: 2 minutes, 3 times a week for 4 weeks.
How to do it: Triangles, diamonds, circles and squares, construct these images to win glory. To obtain the very cool looking trophy, first register your interest in the monthly multiplayer competition. Each competition runs for one month. When a new competition starts, NeoPet will automatically assign you to a playing ladder, and you will receive a neomail with instructions on how to log in and face your opponent. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Go! Go! Go!
Difficulty: Hard
Time approximation: 3 hours
Minimum commitment required: A few sittings
How to do it: Mainly a game of chance, how you play the game with the hand you receive will determine if you win and are allowed to proceed. Its trophy levels, set much like Cheat, will mean you can receive your trophy in good time, however unlike Cheat, proceeding through the levels is considerably a lot harder. For strategies, take a look at PPT's Game Guides on www.pinkpt.com.
Cons: Prepared for a long haul with this one. It's quite difficult to advance to the next levels.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Invasion of Meridell
Difficulty: Medium
Time approximation: 3 hours
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Meridell is being invaded, and only you and your band of loyal troops can convert the opponent to bring honour and glory to your name. Check out PPT's guides on this one on www.pinkpt.com for handy tips on how to quickly whoop your opponents and win your well-earned trophy.
Cons: It may take a while for you to fully grasp how this game is played. Other than that, gaining this trophy should be pretty straightforward.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kacheekers
Difficulty: Easy
Time approximation: 1 month
Minimum commitment required: 2 minutes, 3 times a week for 4 weeks.
How to do it: Played like how checkers is played, to obtain the very cool looking trophy, first register your interest in the monthly multiplayer competition. Each competition runs for one month. When a new competition starts, NeoPet will automatically assign you to a playing ladder, and you will receive a neomail with instructions on how to log in and face your opponent. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Lenny Conundrum
Difficulty: Medium
Time approximation: 5 minutes
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Puzzles abound in this weekly competition where the first set number of correct answers will win you trophies and prizes. "If you don't submit an answer within 5 minutes of the puzzle being released, don't bother." That's the advice many people echo on the NeoBoards, however I disagree. Many times puzzles have been left unsolved with no winners, so submit away! Moreover, how do you expect to win if you don't even attempt? Some solutions may appear evident to you straightaway, so submit and be smug in your knowledge that you're on top of things and a head above the rest, but if puzzles aren't you thing, creeping around the NeoBoards will have someone tell everyone the answer sooner or later. Once you have this, head on over to the submission page as fast as you can!
Cons: It may take up to 3-4 attempts before you receive this trophy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Mystery Pic
Difficulty: Medium
Time approximation: 5 minutes
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Neopets is full of pictures and images, and every week, one random picture is taken, zoomed into and a small section taken out to form what is now known as the "Mystery Pic Compeition", where you will have to try to discover what the picture is.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Neopian Times
Difficulty: Easy
Time approximation: 45 minutes
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Like music, where the demand for good song writers and good singers never end, so too, does the demand for good articles for the Neopian Times never end. Simply said, if you write on any topic related to Neopets, and make it good, you'll soon find yourself on a way to a shiny new Neopian Times Trophy! Good thing is, if you do get this trophy, you will automatically receive a gold trophy, as there is no silver or bronze trophy. I recommend writing about recent relevant issues on Neopets that relates to every neopian player our there (or a good number) such as how to run an effective shop to how to run an effective guild.
Cons: Prepare to wait 3-4 months for a response from Neopets. They won't respond to you application straight away.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
NeoQuest
Difficulty: Medium
Time approximation: 2 months
Minimum commitment required: Many sittings
How to do it: Playing as Jeren, battle your way through a role playing world to save Neopia, a world whose fate hangs on a delicate balance. One of the hardest parts of this game is knowing where to go, so take a look at the in-depth NeoQuest guide on http://www.pinkpt.com/idnq for complete maps and tips and tricks to kicking some butt on this game.
Cons: It's a long haul for this trophy, and at times some levels can be difficult to pass. Be prepared to sit at some times just to level up you character.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Picture Competition
Difficulty: Very easy
Time approximation: 30 minutes
Minimum commitment required: One sitting.
How to do it: Some people argue that getting an entry into the Picture Competition is very hard. Not so my dear felly neopian. For immediate acceptance and a cool new trophy, submit a picture 2 or more days before a specific species day, i.e. Nimmo Day. These days have requests for species related art submissions, and the thing is, not many people do submit these pictures, so quickly put on your creative hats on and get drawing! The easiest way is simply to draw something on paper, colour it in, and make it look like you put some effort into it, scan it in and send it off to Neopets!
Cons: This may be a little hard for people who don't have scanners, don't have access to a scanner.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Punchbag Bob
Difficulty: Very easy
Time approximation: 45 minute
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Punchbag Bob, the poor fellow, has existed for battledomers to test their weapons and equipment before taking it into the real arena. Because of this, Punchbag Bob has a lot of hit points, so many in fact that if you defeat him, you'll be rewarded with a trophy for your patience. Enter the battledome, challenge Punchbag Bob and get his hit points down to 0, effectively defeating him. A good strategy is to use drain life on weak settings (faerie must have blessed your pet with this ability) to drain 100 hit points from him every turn.
Cons: Because of his high hit points, it may take a while. It would also be beneficial if your neopet was equipped with some decent items (take a look at the in-depth Battlepedia http://www.pinkpt.com/idb) and have him/her trained up a level where a faerie will be able to bless it with drain life (take a look at the in-depth Battlepedia http://www.pinkpt.com/idb for a table of the level and faerie type required).
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Pyramid Bonus
Difficulty: Very hard
Time approximation: Approx 150 plays
Minimum commitment required: Many sittings
How to do it: Unlike the ancient Egyptians who built pyramids, you have to deconstruct a pyramid, made out of cards, from the ground up. This game is quite difficult. To get this trophy, you will have to win the game twice, but they do not have to be consecutive wins. If you do win consecutively however, you will receive an extra trophy! It will take approximately 150 plays to win twice, so keep your chins up and keep playing! For guides, tips and tricks, take a look at PPT www.pinkpt.com
Cons: This will take a long time to get. It's a nice trophy but hold up your chin and keep your head up and space the plays over a few months!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Round Table Poker
Difficulty: Extremely hard
Time approximation: A lot
Minimum commitment required: A few days
How to do it: Like poker? This game places you in an online setting of poker players, where you are entered into a competition, facing off many competitors so you can win the prize money and the trophy! Take a look at www.pinkpt.com for game guides, hints and tips for this game.
Cons: Getting this trophy is extremely hard, mainly because of the amount of rounds you will have to defeat to win this game. In addition, due to the cost of entering the competition, many people are discouraged from actually attempting for this trophy, but keep at it and you'll be one of the few who have this trophy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Sakhmet Solitaire
Difficulty: Very hard
Time approximation: Approx 150 plays
Minimum commitment required: Many sittings
How to do it: Honestly, how many times have you played solitaire while you were suppose to work or do some assignment or homework? Why not play this game on Neopets instead and get a trophy for your efforts.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Site Spotlight
Difficulty: Easy
Time approximation: 1-2 hour
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Everybody loves a good web page, and there's one rule here. If you spice up your pet webpage and put a lot of time and effort into it, you'll win the award without question. Make sure however that the web page is original, and maybe adding in an "I love Neopets" line might help your chances (Just kidding)!
Cons: Knowing how to do web pages requires HTML knowledge and possible a host so you can host your own images. There's a great HTML guide on Neopets so check it out! However, don't expect an immediate response from Neopets when you sent in your application. It can take up to 3-4 months.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Snow Wars
Difficulty: Easy
Time approximation: 2 hours
Minimum commitment required: One sitting
How to do it: Do you love snowball fights? Rejoice, for this game is the closet thing you could possibly experience online, on Neopets anyway. Unfortunately, you'll have to play this game throughout the levels the hard way, but receiving the trophy is not hard at all. For tips and guides for this game, check out the game guides on www.pinkpt.com
Cons: Not many cons with this game. Just a cool chill-out game, which incidentally also gives you the trophies!
