Hey ive got this alert showing on my page. www.habbonewsie.net/HN/welcome_to_habbonewsie.php and its mysql powered. And admin says: $getmessage. But i only want it to show once UNTIL a new alert is posted?? Cookies? Sessions or what! Help +rep for all trys

When the alert shows I would set a cookie to say they have seen the alert before and put the id of the alert in the cookie. So then you can check if they have seen if before and if they havent display a new one.

Ok im so a noob at this so what would the script be to set a cookie when it shows up?
