Electric Or Bass?I Need Your Help ;)

Yeah,as the title says I need your help. Me and my mate are setting up a band,he's gonna be on the drums,we have someone who has a guitar who will play and I will probs end up getting a guitar aswell. I will do vocals aswell ;) So Which one should I get? A Bass or Electric? To all those who know stuff about guitars,can you please back up your answer with opinions/reasons why to,thanks so much,rep for every backed up answer!

Electric because when i plug it in to my amp i dont have to put in as much effort strumming :$

If you are going to sing then electric. Bass is kinda hard to match up with vocals while singing.

electric - i voted this as this I find is much more fun to play on and skillful if you are singing at the same time.

base - This is a bit easier and could be useful if your the lead singer as the multitasking is just simpler. Can also be helpful for keeping you in beat with the song.

I'd say bass, my friend plays bass, and it sounds great when everyone does it together...

I play bass because i found that my hand was too clumsy for the small electric strings. However i think you should learn electric as when you can play electric you can play anything on bass.
I voted bass anyway though because i'm biased.lol

its awesome i just dont know what one of the buttons is for lol, i know the one on the left is volume but i dunno the one on the right, the fender amp is alright i thought it would be rubbish but i got a big shock lol
