Habbo closing down ''/

There are a few people going round saying Habbo will be Closed down as of 13th of November..
I myself doubt this very much as i see no reason for it to do so. But if you think it's true or have any evidence that it is true. Please post here.
I think it might just be a bunch of noobs spreading stupid rumours cause of a ban or somthing. but just thought i'd post see if anyone else had heard anything.

Haha, that is stupid, sulake makes millions upon millions with habbo, it's like the chain mail that says you will have to pay to use the MSN service as of such a date.

please tell me you never honestly belived this, exactly wot -50 said. If you had a shop lets say that everyone came to and you were making say £5000 a week, would you close it?

Maybe they are just very bored and are just too simple minded to find something better to do. :]

If the Hotel were ever to close, I think they'd give a notice in advance so people would stop buying credits and say goodbye to everyone.

That may not be for many years to come.. hopefully. :]

Sulake will be one of those invincible companys
They'll never go bust because
1) they make heaps and heaps
2) Young people (11, 12, 13) use habbo and they still have a few years before they grow out of it
SO they wont be closing any time soon.
They have people spending $30 a year to pay for websites dedicated to them. Just a rumour like those emails

All habbo accounts that had no furni on them and had been inactive for 90 days or more were deleted.

They would have to tell you a few months in advance because you are liable to sue them for taking your money and not giving you the services which actually bought.

If habbo did close, im sure they'd leave the server up so we can still go on it, so what we have paid for still remains,but they wouldnt spend money on updating it or release new furniture.

If habbo does close, you won't get any money from them, unless they close out of the blue, then you can sue them. If they give you a warning, you cannot get any money from them. I'm sure they've put a disclaimer up somewhere saying that.

Hmm, theres a clause in it in the T&C's about what refund you get if it closes. Something like the cost of the furniture in your hand or on your account. If someone can be bothered to find it i'll give them rep...

Thats would be bad for some people.

(((A while back all furni, even unreleased rares had a catalogue value. But habbo a prob with people scripting themselves thrones which they could then buy from the catalogue. After that all rares were given a cat value of -1 credit. This meant they could not be scripted onto something of the same val in the cat. ))) This was taken from an old thread about scripting and how it used to be easy to get scripted rares, dunno if the guy was right, but who cares.

So if you were really rich on habbo and had tons of rares and they decided to add up how much it was worth you would end up owing them money :p

Oh and there are ways the hotel could close.... It could be found that it is dangerous and closed through public prosicution. Sulake could do something illegal and all assets siezed and trading imediatly halted. Some one could pitch up and take them to court if they prove they designed the idea before the creators of habbo.

I seriously doubt this will ever happen. Im sure sulake would have thought about every possiblity and made sure they have the funds to deal with anythng that gets thrown at them.

The days when you could get yourself thrones were great :) Then only seasonal rares/scripted bear rugs/scripted pods could be gotten. Those were the days though :)

Oh, and yes, habbo made most rares have a catalouge value of -1, but there were ways around that.
