Erm, I went out with this girl last year for a few months, I asked her out, I just wanted to see what she was like. We split up, and now she's told me she still loves me. I don't fancy her, she's like, one of my best mates, and I don't know whether I like her as a friend, or more. I'm scared if I don't go out with her, I could lose her forever, even as a friend.

Well, if you think she is good looking you should go out with her, as you already know she has a good personality if she is one of your best friends.

If not explain to her that you like her more as a friend and she should not be offended.

Go out with each other for a couple of dates, you don't have to do anything major, maybe take her out to the cinema on your own, get to know her more then just see how you feel. If you feel like you want to kiss her all the time become boyfriend and girlfriend if you feel like having a laugh with her stay friends.

I suppose if you don't physically like her, then love cannot be the answer?

Maybe you have to do some thinking about the whole matter itself, deep down you may feel some love for her, but is it just friendly love or real love?

You don't need a phsyical attraction for love. Most of my boyfriends haven't been the next Brad Pitt (but then again, boy is he ugly >.<) but I don't think you should go out with her. She'll get over you, just say that you've sorted your head out and you don't want to. If she asks why, say that you don't like her in that way.
