Yep, for example. I hate pop rock, emo rock (HATEFUL) and alternative rock and soft rock and all that plop. Whereas others may not like my calssic punk rock, hard rock, classic rock and metal

Mostly like Rock
Rock---->Heavy Metal---->Power Metal----> Edguy, Hammerfall, Dragonforce, Kamelot, Stratovarius and Avantasia etc. Basically any power metal it's all incredibly similar.
Heavy Metal----> Progressive Death Metal---> Death and OPETH!!!
I like old school hip hop it cracks me up but this new stuff.. the videos are so alike it's annoying.
Plus there's about 2 or 3 lines in a freakin' song and it's a hit.. either that or they rip off a tune from an 80s song because they knows it's going to be a hit, then they put lyrics about women, and being a "gangsta" and doing heaps of drugs over it.

I like rock best, not gothic and emo stuff though.
I like most other kinds of music too though, just not pop.
