I am not 18 and have my own paypal account.
It uses the money directly from my bank account :s

You dont have to be 16 or 18 for a debit card, im 14 and got one when I was 12, it takes money direct from my bank.
You don't get a credit card neither a debit card until your 18. You've most probably got what I have, a 'Cash Card'.

Basically, you save deposit money into your account and then when you want something on the net, depending if you have a PayPal account, you can then buy the item.
If you have this Cash Card then its good to sign up to a PayPal account as its a easy, safe, simple and fast way to transfer money, leaving the hassle of going to the post office etc...

my friend is 12 and he has paypal, but he has to use his dads debit card, so he has to ask him everytime he wants to buy something xD

It can't be? I'm 16 and I tried to apply for one but they said you have to be 18 to receive one.
Your too young to have one, the reason being you can only have one when your 18 is because you can get yourself overdrawn, facing debts which, Lol isn't a good posistion to be in when your 12-14 ;)

Go to Natwest, you can get on right now! I'm 12 and they gave me one, it's a special account called Card Plus, where theres no overdrawing, you just spend whatever is in your bank. And you can to cash masgines. And trust me, your allowed to have one at 12, and thats the earliest! And I'm using PayPal ;)

Hmm, I may be able to use mine in shops, I havn't tried yet as I've just received it. I know I can apply for a PayPal account. I think the purpose of not using my Cash Card, I've got a cheque book instead which is quite snazzy :) and then I can write cheques out for clothes and stuff.

Either way, I can still but stuff if I don't have the money on me :) Thanks for letting me know ;)

You dont need to be any paticular age, you need a CC or debit card either..

Just get people to donate the money to you..

You need a debit to transfer money into there though..
