I want you all to sign a petition to close Habbo Hotel, theyll never listen, I know, But its worth a try. Heres my tale.

I first came on Habbo when I was 10, when my 13 year old brother told me about it. I was addicted. I brought furniture, started a noob mafia, got hacked and left for 6 months. I moved to the account XXk!d4 and got an internet girlfriend, called Krizzy!. I had cyber with her (gross I know) , I was that insanely addicted. I began to give up my social life in real life and preffered my friends on Habbo. If I fell outw ith someone on Habbo, Id care so much. With someone in real life, id barely akknowledge it. I joined a group of people called Revengers, who played the Habbo game revenge. I became exceptionally good at it and learned to touch type. I became depressed quickly, and two months after splitting up with Krizzy!, I left habbo for 6 months. I was happy, and went to hgih school. In year 7, some friends began talking about msn.. I had stopped going on the computer completely until then. I came back, and I had Krizzy on my msn.. I began going out withher again, until coming bakc on habbo in december 2004. I found msot of my old friends, only to find alot had elft, after alot of changes to Habbo. I joined Habbox, and it was not until july/juneish this year that I quit Habbo, again. I had friends in real life, but found it hard to socialize, everyone was soon interested in girls, I got a girlfriend in real life, but spoilt it. I became a loser at school, and still am. Im a wannabe, and thats all Ill ever be. I got a new girlfriend recently, but split up with her because I found it difficult to talk to ehr in real life, I split up with her half an hour ago, about.. Its pathetic. I dont want anyone else to end up like me, Habbo ruined my life, I am now 13, and In year 8. Quit Habbo, spend less time on it.. Just dont be like me. - Aaron/Charizard.

Thats not Habbo's fault.

Your right.. Its mine. But it is partly habbos, they use more advertising methods then ever now, and they will create an addict out of hundreds of people. Theres something that keeps you stuck to it, something that makes it feel more important then real life. They are so many aspects of it that put you in a positition youve always wanted, you can make new friends easily, buy furniture, buy pets, change the way you look at the click of the button. All sorts.

Lol, Thanks Eammons. I know alot of people dont let it dominate their lifes, But I was young, and didnt think of the consequences. I have a guy called Dan on my msn, hes played habbo for dont know how long, but in real life everyone hates him, girls think hes creepy, and hes obsessed with suicide. I know they're more people like me. Will, I know its sad. You dont need to remind me that. Insults arent appreciated.

Every game is addicting in its own way but it's your choise if you'll let the game take over your life? I find habbo extremely boring..what's the point in it? ;s I quit it few months ago, I never cared about it too much.

Charizard.
16-11-2005, 06:09 PM
I never found it boring because of revenge, and the large group of friends I had. The aspect of battle ball is just going to interest more people. It was my choice to let it take over my life, but i couldnt leave my friends on there, which was more then sad. Ive got to go now. Bye.

Habbo's an endless money pit. I would try and get a perm ban so if you feel the need to go on it, you can't. I was in this situation, I once found it hard to talk to some people in real life, but that's in the past for me now..

Thats not Habbo's fault.

Just because you were stupid enough to get addicted in doesn't mean it's their fault.

Just because you let habbo rule your life you want it shut down? Meh, it'll never shutdown because of that anyway.

This sort of happend to me, I was addicted, In class I would write down on some paper, My trading plans, My room plans and so on. I got bored of it and left. I lost so much of my life to this game. It can be annoying but its just a game. For your life. Its hard to become a loser and want to get back and become pop and have new friends.

To start with, You are going to want to stay away from habbo in case you get addicted again. Try blocking it if you can. Make a new MS'N account for your personal life, If you dont have one. Try to get a better friendship with your current friends, Talk on MSN loads. After that you know you have a few friends. Here is were you can slipt into two paths, You cant really do them both but you could try it.

1) Hang around with your friends and make friends with their friends, After you have a good friendship with them, Get to know their friends, Make sure you are still good friends with the friends you started with, It can be rather hard, I like to use MS'N to keep in touch, That way I can talk to 10 of my friends at once, Try to get your friends to get MS'N.

2) If you have afterschool clubs, Try to join a club you think you would like or join in a club you friends are in. This way you can hang out with them and meet knew people with the same stuff you like, If you dont have any clubs, Tell your HOY (Head of year).

Goodluck.
(I said try not todo both as you would get too many friends that you dont have that good of friendship with and would need to work with each of them)

Now thats your friends sorted out.
As for girls, The fact you online date I find sick but nevermind.
Girls are just weird, They do this girly code so boys dont understand anything.
Try just talking to one of them you think is fit, get her MS'N talk more, Start flirting, By this time her friends will prob know about you, Start saying hi and stuff maybe asking for your MS'N, Just play along, Soon you will have a few girl friends and you just need to decide who to go out with.
Dont flirt with more than one of the girls or the chances are you will mess this up.
Dont try to go with a girl you know is pop and wouldnt go out with somone with a sort of low rep like yourself.

Again goodluck.

Also, Habbo brings joy to millions of people, why should they shut it down for one computer addict? Most people can moderate the time they spend on the computer such as myself. Strangly, MSN and Habbo have improved my social skills because typing to someone is so easy I feel it should be the same in real life.

I would sign it ;]
Although I've already quit it. But I wouldn't sign it because it 'ruined your life', because it's all a question of balance and self control.
I'd sign it because I hate the site as it ;]
I just think its a money-making skeeemm.

God Aaron, I know what you mean. I started in year 7, it was fun, me and all my mates had a laugh. After a few months, got hacked, came back in middle of '04, and I was hooked. Too much, and I spent too much time on here. I haven't quit habbo, but I realise there are more important things.
