Do stitches hurt?

I think i need them as i got something thrown at me today which was really sharp and i have a major deep cut above my eye with a major stingy "/

stitches... are they not from when you run for a long time and get realllly tired? because when i get stitches its from running. and yes they hurt after a while :)

No i mean the stitches where a doctor soews a thing onto a deep cut to help it not be infected, ima get them done just wondering if i need to brace myself.

They sting alittle bit when they go in thats all. Ive had quite abit from boxing and getting stood on it football:P

they don't hurt... i've had stiches and also that glue they use! .. they glue the skin back together.. lol scary eh! .. i had a deep cut under my eye! (almost lost my eye) and they glued it back!!! scary stuff!

i had stitches on the back of my head, me and my brother where doing wrestling (lol@us:P) and he hit me in the head with an ax handle -.-, they hurt when they put the needle in apart from that it didnt hurt :)

Just to bump.

I got six stitches they didn't hurt at all, all i felt was a sharp sting the first time.

There not that bad when i had to have 8 on my lip they hurt a bit because when he was doing them he kept yanking them

Ive had stitches in my eye brow, and i eventually got bored and pulled them out :D One time, i needed stitches in my knee, this was the day before i went on holiday so i couldnt be bothered going to hospital, so i just let it heel by itself, AND IT DID! TaaDaa!
