School Uniforms?

Do you think school uniforms are a good idea?

Personally I do.

My school is very strict about school uniform and I'm glad for it. If some one isn't wearing the same as every body else.

My school uni is burgundy and grey. Not the nicest ever but :p

I don't really mind school uniform because if everyone wore there own clothes some people would get bullied because of the way they dress or because they didn't have the latest fashions or they would find something to call about there clothes. Wearing all the same means that people can't complain what people are wearing. In our school though if people's uniform is dirty, messy and too short plus many more things they tease people. They also call people about there shoes and other random feautures about people. Our school is very strict on uniform aswell they are that strict we aren't allowed any non school uniform days not even on special occasions.

We have a uniform of a yucky navy sweatshirt and black trousers or a shirt, gross yellow and black tie, and black trousers.

We didn't have to wear it untill we got a new head at the start of this year. People kept wearing it for about of term .. now no one wears it anymore :p

Green polo shirt, black trousers. But it doesnt make us all the same coz the "popular" lot wear it differently. They wear like tight trousers and tight shirts. So we aint equal with it.

Well students in my school wear blue blouses/shirts and blue skirts/pants
As for student leaders, we wear white blouses/shirts and white skirts/pants... the school ties for student leaders are stripey red and navy blue.

Well, my uniforms looks like;- Black blazer, white shirt/blouse, black trousers/skirt, black socks o.O, black shoes, and a maroon and gold striped tie for year 7, 8 & 9 and a plain maroon tie for year 10 & 11 :P

But what if thugs come into you school dressed as neds/chavs and everyone else has there uniform on? They will stick out like a sore thumb! But if everyone else has casual clothes they could blend in and, say, attack some one in the worst case?

I think its shocking! I mean whats the point? In America/Canada/USA/Etc they don't wear it. And I really hate the fact of wearing a stupid uniform :@ So no I don't think its a good idea.

Our skool is SOOOOOO strict! We have to wear-

Navy blazer with house badge (Avalon, Alexandria, Castilleand SEMPRINGHAM!!!

Sky blue shirt, navy purple and silver stripy tie, grey trousers, no wide waistbands turnups flares etc.. (Or Knee Length Skirt) Grey socks with trousers, white with skirt and black shoes

if you dont have anything correct u get put in isolation!

●Tie. The tie has coloured lines inbetween. There are 4 different forms, and each form has a different colour for the line in the tie.
●Black or white socks.
●Navy blue jumper.
●White blouse underneath jumper.
●School shoes

That is erm.. a load of bull.. I get bullied already.. because I have long hair or because I'm tall or because I like rock music or because my bag is BLACK! so really.. School uniforms wouldn't solve that kind of bullying

Dont have uniforms:D Good in some ways, bad in others. Bad like people can make fun of what you chose to wear, (It doesnt happen to me but you know what I mean) but with uniforms, everyone is wearing them:p . Id prefer choosing what I wore though.

you can tell a lot about people by how they dress

my high school has like 2000 kids so the people who just where black can hang out together the people who where like nothing can hang out and the people who where like uhh regular clothes can hang out and no one bullys people on what they where they just go on with their lives i think.

after school people arnt treated equal so it is bad to live in a fake world where everyone is grouped together as being the same so it doesnt hurt like 3 kids feelings

Yes i do think that it is very important that people wear school uniforms for their safety mostly as you used to be able to wear coats inside my school, now you have to take them off because a couple of years ago a group of people came into our school and stabbed someone with a knife.
Our school tie colour varies depending on what year you're in:
Note that i live in Scotland.
1st-3rd year = red tie.
4th - 5th/6th year = blue tie
not all people become prefects in 6th year so they keep their blue tie
but if you become a prefect you wear a black tie with red lines on it. >.<
You're meant to wear a black blazer really only 1st and 6th years wear them...
rest of school clothes are black except from white shirt obviously. :)

Mines Simple n easy , black trousers and this t Shirt. And we have a special PE Uniform we HAVE TO wear. The 2 Ticks means W for the name of our school. Which i wont say because of safety i guess.
