My Proposal



Here is my proposal for Habbox members to be allowed to post pictures of them selfs on the forum/correct form or where it could be applied to.

Why?: Well, as Habbox members we are all curious about one and other and we all get on well, why shouldn't we be able to see each others real life photos'?

"Because it's dangerous": Why? Why is it dangerous, we're all on here together and giving out a picture of your self does not give out your phone number, your street number, or where you live.

"People will post un-appropriate images up on the forum": They still can do that now, but they don't. All you need is some more moderators OR just get the moderators to expand to look for them, to look out for any indecent pictures or any thing that would be considered séxual or of that nature.

"People will abuse this": How will they? If it's moderated closely and well by the Forum SM's then it will be perfectly fine.

Why is this needed?: It's not needed, it's just a great way for forum members to get to know one another more better and have an even better time on Habbo's most popular un-official forum.

Pro's:

• Members are more happier
• Users can interact with each other better
• We can get a better look at the person at hand rather than thinking stuff like... "Hmmm, Trunks... 6ft White guy with a green moustach and a pink beard".
• A great laugh!
• Fun and competitions with them

Cons:

• People could insult one another. (This is easily countered by the moderatos watchful eye).
• People posting séxual orientated pictures. (People could do this now... But they don't, again, with the Moderators watchful eye,it would be dealt with).

This will definitely not be allowed. People on the forum might not be who they say they are and posting pictures of yourself will cause unwanted situations with these "people." This is a 100% bad idea and to be honest, has no chance of going anywhere on this forum. :)

Also, to elaborate on the point of this being a bad idea, if habbox wishes to become an official fansite for habbo again, then it definitely cannot have pictures of habbos on its forum.

Jack, you know as well as I do, PMing them would pee them off and they wouldn't be intrested in a PM, so thats why I posted this... To get forum members to be intrested. (Which almost all are) and for other people to add onto what I try to say.

personally i don't think people should post themselves because others may be 'disappointed' in what they THOUGHT they might see. Also, if any pervs decide to look at this site, the may be in their element. It could also be unfair for habbos who do wish to upload their pictures but aren't allowed perhaps by their parents. It's a huge risk uploading pictures of urself. So, I'm against this debate of posting r/l pictures.

I agree that they don't HAVE to but they might feel left out or alienated if they are not posting their photos. Others may be like 'why aren't u posting urself u n00b' or w/e. I wouldn't upload my picture.

The main reason we don't want any real life pictures of people is not one of the things that Trunks mentions.
It's because we find it necessary to protect members against themself. A lot of people don't realize the problems they might get by putting their photo on the web. This can be because people might use your picture to make fun of you, but also it might attract people who will try to contact you in real life and find out details about you, just because they like somebody's picture.
Habbo is also very strict against anybody showing their real life picture. There used to be a website where also some hobbas posted their picture, but Habbo made it clear they have to be removed if they wanted to stay hobba. If you ever want to become Habbo X or a hotel moderator you won't be allowed to give out your real life photo.

Bad Idea!

Considering i have got an official fansite in trouble for allowing members to post images of themself on there forum as it is against the fansite way.

And if habbox wan't to be official before habbohotel closes (example) then doing this won't be such a good idea.

considering sites like "HabboExposed" they will just take the pictures and make fun of the users.

Also if this did happen; the forum would be have to be moderated so much cause it will cause alot of bullying.

Well, since theres loads of complications I retract what I said and I wouldn't want Habbox to get in trouble or anyone that wants to become a Habbo X or any other sort of high position on Habbo hotel suffer due to them posting pictures of them selves on here.

It would be a good idea and I would still like it, BUT, there are certain responsibilities that come with it, but I don't think we have a mature enough forum. (Not everyone, but some) Are really not mature enough and couldn't handle it.

I made www.habbofaces.co.uk but I closed it when I recieved mass ammounts of photo's and after a staff members told me to close it. (I could have it open she said) But she said it wouldn't be safe to do so... I was getting bored of it any way. ;)

Well, if a Moderator would like to close this thread since it will never happen?

I reackon its a good idea. I mean how would a normal respectable fully clothed photo end up at an x-rated site? And what would it matter if peodos saw a fully clothed respectable photo? And maybe only like 14s or over can post the to me honest I agree that 9 10 and 11 year olds shouldn't post there picture.
