He got given a new kidney or whatever it was and still carried on drinking so it's kind of his fault

Hmm, I agree. It is his own fault, but saying that he doesn't deserve to die and still deserves respect in his last hours. Well thats why I think anyway.

This may seem harsh to you but I fully believe he does.
There could have been someone under him on that list for the liver transplant who would have lived a fuller life, they didn't drink and waste their liver as he has done. So in a way; he could have killed 2 people with his stupidic lifestyle. Himself and someone else who could have had that liver.
Personally I couldn't give a damn about him anymore, he's had everyones help and he just throws it all away..

It's his own fault. He had the chance to quit, but he didn't.

He's an example that they will use to try and get into peoples minds than binge drinking CAN and WILL kill you.

If he survives, he sruvives - I personally hope he doesn't. He doesn't deserve anymore of his life, he's wasted everything. He can't change the past and his future has nothing going on.

He was given the blessing of getting a kidney transplant. People out there have not caused illness's themselves and need a kidney. His was self caused.

I don't have any sympathy for the man. He bought it all on himself, and it's his own fault he's going to die.

People who Damage their Body Dont Get Treatment at Hospitals Eg Overweight
But When George Best Wants Treatment, He Gets It!
Its His Own Fault.

To be honest his fault. He abused his body so it gave in. I agree someone that didn't drink too much could have had that liver.

I got to agree with the others, think of someone who could of had more life with that liver.

He drunk again, he deserve's it, tbh i don't really care if he dies now as he just abused the right of life.

Excacly he had a chance to change it all but he did'nt take it unlike over people who would jump at the chance

Yeah -50. There are people who have serious illnesses which are not self-inflicted. Yet they wait whilst someone who drank his life away gets it and carries on drinking. I like drink but in moderation, not like 1000 pints a day!

Despite the fact it was his fault I feel sorry for him. It's not like an addiction is something you can easily stop. I feel sorry for his family too. It must be a horrible ordeal for them and it's never nice to lose a family member.

It's his own fault, if he knows he has kidney problems why do it? I have no sympathy for him as it's his own fault.

He should have learnt to moderate his drink. And he is rich and can afford like proffesional help. And theres AA.

Some stars don't want help... They just want to be alone and think of the 'Glory Days'.

He's still hanging on in there.

I do agree with what many of you have said, that he brought it on himself, and the liver could have and perhaps should have gone to someone else. But I still can't help thinking its sad that he's about to die. Even if it was someone not-famous I'd still feel like this.

heh, cheesey huh?

I mean it's someones life, and the fact that he was one of, if not THE best footballer we had, it just makes it that more... whats the word? .... I wouldnt say upsetting as such, but sad :(

I agree. He was given a new liver that someone else could have had, and he's just gone and done the same thing again.
His own fault.
