Just on ITV news:

01:04pm in the afternoon 25th November 2005.

Confirmed that he has died, in his bed in a London Hospital.

Well, what can you say - nobody likes to hear of people dieing, but he had it coming - he was an idiot living the life he did.

Anyway, R.I.P.

So much talent as a footballer, it's a shame he turned to drink.

How on earth did the doner risk their life, have you even considered they may have already of been dead but carried a doner card?

As for George Best, can't really say I give a damn to be honest.

But he deserved to die really, he had a chance to turn himself around and he didn't, so I don't really feel sorry for him.

Best will remain a legend for generations ahead. I just hope the youth of today will realise what a life of drink does to you.

Such a talented footballer, had given football up for fame, didn't work out as planned. Then turned to alcohol.

Shame he died, but it was his own fault. Had another chance, then ruined that.

if ur an alcoholic then theres nothin that can really change that, its an addiction that he couldnt give up and i think its very sad as he isnt exactly really old n i think people should remember him as one of the best footballers eva not as an alcoholic who deserved to die basically as many of u here are sayin.

He was known as a Legend and died a Legend, nothing can change that. Sure you can accuse him for being selfish but an alcohol addiction can be devastating as we now know.
He obviously had problems if he continued to drink, for example, a young lover just beside him only there simply for his money. Leaves him, makes some more money out of media attention and buggers off. Isn't very respectful to say the least.

I save my emotions for people I actually know and care about.

God get your facts right, you obveously have never seen him play football.

It wasnt a kidney it was a liver.

And the liver donater did not give up his life! The donator died in a car crash.

Your obvously very heatless, noone deservs to die, my family has been touched by drink problems which I wont go into (too personal to speak about on a forum) but I can tell you someone died in my family through it.

RIP you were a ledgend:(
