Thanks for rep. Wackykat is related to hobba, Floyd and a DJ on HabboHut. Mizki's team also had Olam and Coolmandan6 (Council Members) and FarmerJiles (hobba).

Um sorry, but were any of you (excluding Mr. Rareoid) actually there? I think it was quite obvious who had a good dance and who didn't. You mean they should have picked a team that poorly recited the lyrics to 'My Humps' and ran around in nonsencial circles over a team who clearly had choreography, based purely on who was in the team? So in the end it's not dancing, it's whoever's least known? Oh yeah, because that's fair, isn't it?

Please, if you're going to get jealous and pathetic at least do it with a little dignity. Whenever anyone wins anything, unless they've never been heard of EVER, people say it's favourtism. Geez...

I pity Habbo sometimes, they have such jealous children to deal with. And why be jealous? It's just a bit of fun. You think I really cared about winning? Hell, I didn't even want to do it!

Damn!
Lol, people who are non-favouritist are weird.
It's the quality, not the popularity that wins.

The teams that won actually had some choreography. They had a routine about what to do. If it so happens that a Habbo is related to a Hobba (which, how was I supposed to know?) is in the best team, so be it. Olams team was great, you could see they tried. Which is better than many other teams that wasted time tonight.

There was around 3-4 good teams.

Rareoids, olams, wackykat and that's all i can think off right now.

It doesnt matter if they are hobba's or not, if it was synchronized and in time, then there's a very good chance they deserved to win. :)

They win a VIP badge for a day, to battle 3 other teams.

Then the winning team (each member) wins a gold trophy, 100 credits + 3 hc months

By the way, What did they win?Nothing, we're through to the finals on Saturday that's all.

What is the point in making a competition Hobbas can't enter?

1) They're removed on the 31st of December
2) They don't get ANYTHING except free HC - they don't get free credits/furniture
3) They would like to partake too
4) This competition was not biased towards Hobbas, their powers gave them no advantage

It's like saying well known atheletes can't take part in the Olympics because they're well known. Makes as much sense as my left shoe.

Where did this conversation begin about favoritism? From the original thread starter's post, this was about competition winners, and then a whole bunch of people start assuming that favoritism was involved because someone they knew of was picked. Tell me, if I won a competition, would you say they favored me? Many people have won comps and have never spoken to any of the office staff. You guys, really, just get jealous because you aren't winning. Basically this is like the lottery with 10's of thousands of Habbo. If you have a 1 in 100,000 chance and don't win, does that give you any right to claim it fixed? Its like saying the lottery (in real life) is fixed!

I think you guys should just give it a rest and be happy for the winners. If you won a competition would you like to be flamed by half the community because they think you won it in a fix? And what does it matter, its for some pixelized furniture on a game. WHO CARES!

Also rareoid, i never got to see your act as i went on hotel view after, but i assume you took part and obviously won, but i hear your going for it again tommorow then, why dont you make out not to be so competitive, and try to make a thread trying to suggest that we won because we're on the habbo council and hobbas, and not the fact we got through to the finals because we took part, had a good time and done well?

To begin with their was people asking who Wackykat was, then just because on person mentioned she was related to a Hobba it's all of a sudden a rigged competition?

Get a grip please.

The first thing you people do is jump to calling it a fix or w.e just because a Hobba or whatever is involved, why should hobbas not be able to take part - they should give up their time etc. voluntary but in return be excluded from taking part in the competitions in Habbo? Very fair.

It's quite a common thing now that just about anyone who wins some sort of competition is spoke against on this forum nowadays.. getting quite old and sad.

Well done wackykat.

If the hotel manager didnt pick the well known people all/most of the time, the culture of "he won it becaus he's famous" wouldn't have started? You never see anyone with the name "kitykat94562" or such winning any decent competitions? Why not actually pick someone like that and give them a chance to become "famous?" No, pick the already famous ones and make them hated. Its not an excuse for it, but it might explain why people on the forum have come to act like that. I agree, But you diddnt invite james! Evil. ;D

Mexel, Guessing you meant me.

I was in a team already, mind you, the team _Olam_ described in his first post. :P (The "My humps" one).

The reason for the total muckup was because the moderation of the Stage was awful, our group was just 3 people however 6 people came on the stage and people allowed it.. I screamed many times get those guys off the stage now however my plea wasn't listened too which annoyed me alot. It wasn't till after our performance that they took a stricter approach to moderating the stage.

We attempted to do our dance we practised so long doing and the other 3 randomers basically destroyed our chances. We were then told to basically sod off off the stage 'cause of the muckup and were not given another chance.

Seeing as we practised ages and waited ages, I found it highly irritating and annoying. Then now to get posts like Olam's bugs me further, because it was not our fault! We tried telling the numerous Hobba's and MOD's in the room about these additional rodents but nothing was done.

Yes, _Olam_'s group may have only consisted of those Hobba's and Council members however compared to the muckup I had thanks to the poor moderation, they were obviously the outright winners. However, You must realise Dan and Olam that these type of posts are expected as so many other people also wanted to have "fun" and spent many days dedicated aswell, to only have 4-5 groups go up, of which half consisited of your group and other selected famous Habbo's.. Its expected to see these topics. You were not the only ones wanting fun and spending ages working out their dance! Not that you didn't know this ofcourse, all I am trying to say is people have a reason to be annoyed, even though to a certain extent they have no right to take it out on you guys.

Either way, out of the specifically selected groups to go up, yours were probably the best. Mind you though, if ours hadn't of mucked up thanks to the annoying n00bs mucking it all up for us.. Hehe.

And btw, Well done! :)

Best Regards,

- James

For a screenshot I found of the disaster.. 6 people, the 3 actually looking like they are doing dance (Me with my funky silver hat) were the correct people, the other 3 randomers destroyed it for us.

And yes, if it was a Hobba's performance I can bet you they would have been kicked on sight. -.-''

Its abosolutely pathetic actually, if people had got onto the stage of the winning groups people would have automatically known and other staff would have removed them, OR the members in their groups would have kicked them themselfs!

Because of the room shutup I was unable to tell people about the 3 other randomers till the performance started!

You could see that both teams that won, had practiced and not was standing the theatredome going... "Who wants to be in my team?" that just shows that you haven't organised it enough. Dan,

I am a bit misunderstood if you are talking in direct to my posts or not. If you are then you need to re-read them.

Your not realy bothered about what? That people are complaining about you winning?

And a few people did suggest that yes, thats expected, however you were not the only group who spent days organising it aswell. You were just one of the "lucky" groups to be chosen to go onto the stage. When you read my posts you'll notice when us namely "Un-well known" habbo's went to play we were automatically dismissed because no one bothered to moderate it. If people went on to the stage when you did your dance I'm 110% certain they would have been kicked either by the 10 other Hobba's or Mod's in the room or by Mizki herself.

Either way, it was an event, our group attempted to take part or "join in" and it went awful because of the organisation of the event itself. They should have asked who was in our team before we went up! Isn't that just commen sense instead of assuming who's in a team?

Your group was NOT the only group who spent many days to organise a dance, so many other habbo's did and didn't even get a chance to get into the room let alone the stage!

However, out of the "lucky" selected 4-5 groups that went up, the 2 winning groups were probably the best there, and seeing as the competition was about dance they were both the obvious winners.

If your post was not directed to me please ignore some of my post.

I don't think it was fixed. Yeah i was in a winning team, i doubt any of you have even HEARD of me, Zonric or Wackykat_01. To be honest, I think your a tiny bit jealous. I mean, who really cares about it. If your one of those who are at the computer all day, not moving at all. Go look outside for once, please. Its sad all you can do is critisize a competition that "popular" people will win. Theres nothing wrong with a harmless competition, and people who win may be on council, be a hobba, or related to one. So what? Are you saying it should be people called !.;x;.BwAbY.;x;.! should win all the time? I doubt it. Your just jealous about it.

Wackykat_01
02-12-2005, 04:23 PM
Firstly, I would like to say, me and the rest of my team worked hard to think of a good, simple, but affective dance. And we managed it. We were really proud and happy that we got through.
Zonric actually persuaded me to come back to habbo, as I hadnt actually been on for a few months, then the "Trance Dance" came along.
Secondly, I would NOT class my self as any different to any of you.
I dont think Im "Popular" or anything like that.
But what I do think, is if YOU had won, you wouldnt be saying all this :)

All I can bring it down to, is what Olam previously said, :)

Can I just say to Dan, the purpose of this thread wasn't to point out the winners are famous, I just posted the names. Because some people may not know the winners, I mentioned who they are, like your on council etc. If I wanted to be some jealous stuck-up kid I would post a rant, but I think fair-do's, you were great! Also, i'm great friends with Olam, FarmerJiles and i'm fond of Mizki as i've known her for yonks. Why would i dis-respect my friends? Good luck in the final on Saturday.

Yes it is "a bit of fun" however you seem to be pretty into the competition.

You're calling pressing a few buttons to make a character move "Choreography"??? and no i was not there. I did not even try to get in.

Hobbas etc have already won being hobbas so they don't need to win anything else (if that doesn't make sense- i apologise!). It's a fact, forgive me if i'm wrong, that hobbas and other "well known" habbos are often looked at more. In that case have a better chance of winning.

People say, dont live habbo but play it. I think i play habbo but when you have people on here slagging you off for winning, basically "cheating" because of your name, it annoys you. Try looking at it both points of views. I have and i know some people didnt get on stage, but the people tha got on stage was the people that stayed with their groups, and that was organised. However you think its organised, thats personally NOTHING down to any of the teams that took part!

That was one of the most stuck up posts ive have ever read.

I never said it was anything to do with the teams! I was just commenting about how unorganised it was. I don't recall saying "IT WAS SO DISORGANISED I CANT BELIEVE IT WE WERE DISQUALIFIED ITS THE WINNERS FAULT ARARARRR".

I can understand it can annoy you, my comments if you read my posts were simply that it is expected. Problem is Dan, you state those who got on stage were those who were organised and stayed with their groups.. quite true! And thats just as what our group did, because of the poor moderation and organisation 3 other people got on aswell.

The thread title is "Winners of the Dance Competition" and I was commenting on the fact that our group was destroyed due to the dis-organisation of the event, aswell as mentioning the fact that people have a reason to say such comments even though you may not deserve them. People went through the frustrations of missing half their team mates, or not getting on stage at all.. Quite lucky for those Habbo X and Hobba's as they don't have the problems with Room Full errors. But thats a completely different matter which I am NOT going to get into because they deserve those powers blah blah. :P

My rant isn't at you, out of those who actually went on stage your group was probably the best.

Well its not like i just walked in there, At 8pm, done the dance and left. Id like tos ay i was in there from just before 4pm to, and still rehersing on clones etc. The hobbas that did turn up (Including the two in our team) also i believed help organise the room a little to.

Okay clever, ignore all my post and take into account the bit I said I wouldn't go into and I explained why after.

I'm not going to continue this argument. I think I've got my point across to everyone else so there is no need repeating myself.
