Chapter One-

It was Mothers Day and I got out of bed super early. I crept quietly downstairs and went into the big kitchen. I dragged a stool along the floor and stood on it. I opened the cupboard and got a bowl and tray out. I layed the tray on the bunker and the bowl on the plate. Then I got cereal out and poured it into the bowl. Then I got the milk out of the fridge and poured it into the bowl. Uh-Oh. The milk fell onto the floor. I tried cleaning It but I couldn't. So I left it. I then got a cup out of the cupboard and put it on the tray and poured orange juice into it. I then took the tray upstairs. I knocked on my mum and dads wooden bedroom door. My mum opened it and said ''Aw thank you Emmy.'' and gave me a kiss on the cheek. ''I made a little mess in the kitchen.'' I said. ''No worries.'' She replied smiling. She put the tray on her wooden desk and put me in the bath because I was a state. Then my older sister Alannah came through when I was comming out. Alannah's eleven and I'm seven. ''Hi Emmy.'' Alannah said. ''Hi.'' I replied. I went to my room and put my fairy outfit on. I played tea party with my bears and dollies and then I had a nap.

Chapter Two-

When I woke up I heard my mum and dad arguing. They had never argued before. I went to my bedroom door and peaked out. They were arguing. I went over and sat on my bed. Just at that Alannah came in crying. She came over to me and hugged me tight. ''Mum and dad might be getting a divorce.'' She said. ''Whats a divorce?'' I asked. ''Dad might be moving out and mum and dad don't love each other no more.'' Alannah said. ''Why?'' I asked. I didn't understand because they had never had a falling out. ''Dads been going out with our babysitter.'' Alannah said her eyes filling with tears. She hugged me tight and I started crying. I still didn't understand but I knew my funnest and only dad in the entire world. They just can't not be together. I heard my dad shouting ''FINE! TAKE THE KIDS! I DON'T CARE I'M MOVING OUT ANYWAY!!!'' I cried more. ''Don't worry Emmy. As long as we have each other.'' Alannah sniffled. Then mum walked in. She sat on the bed. ''Kids, Daddy has moved out.'' She said. ''NO!'' I said running to get him. I got downstairs when I saw him kissing the babysitter. I stood there looking him in the eye and saying ''How could you?'' He then said ''Emmy, Its for the best.'' ''No! No! No! Its not. You betrayed us! And now, I hate you!'' I said running out the door and away. I ran to my favorite place in the world. No one would know except Alannah. It was an old cottage were we had family holidays by the lake. I opened the door and went into the dining room. There were pictures of us happily and I cried more.

Chapter Three-

Ten minutes later Alannah burst in. She ran up to me and hugged me tight. ''I hate dad!'' I cried. ''Me too!'' Alannah said bursting out in tears. ''I'm never ever ever going home!'' I said. ''You have too Emmy.'' She said. ''No!'' I said. I went into the backgarden. The lake was there with a bridge over it. I stood on the bridge and looked into the water and saw my reflection. Alannah came out with my mum behind her. ''I'm not going back!'' I yelled. I hated my dad, and I didn't want to go home. Mum picked me up and I started kicking. ''NO! LET ME GO!'' I cried. I was really really mad and upset. I didn't want to go. But my mum carried me home anyway. About two weeks later my mum had brought someone into the garden were me and Alannah were playing. ''Kids, This is Sam. He is mummys new boyfriend.'' Mum said. I stared at him. Didn't like him. He was real tall. Mum picked me up and said to Sam ''This is Emmy. Shes seven.'' Sam patted me on the head. I gave him evil looks. ''Emmy! Be nice'' Mum scowled. She put me down and introduced Alannah. Alannah and me then went inside and Alannah said ''I hate Sam.'' ''Me too.'' I replied.

Chapter Four- Later

Chapter Four-

About three weeks later mum announced Sam was moving in. Oh no. Me and Alannah hated him. So he moved in that week. One day I was watching Fairly Odd Parents when he came behind me and picked me up. ''Put me down!'' I said squrmming. He hit me. ''Owww!'' I said with tears in my eyes. ''You better behave for me!'' He said dumping me down. Alannah came through. ''Whats wrong Em?'' She asked. ''Sam just hit me.'' I said. ''I hate him! Now. Follow me.'' She said. She took me to the Cabin by the lake. When we got in she said ''Mum is going to come and look for us. So she'll be alone and we'll tell her ok?'' Alannah said. ''I'm not sure.'' I said. ''Ok. We'll go home'' Alannah said. So we went home. Mum came out the front door when we sat in the garden. ''Mummy?'' I said. ''What is it Emmy?'' She asked. ''Sam hit me on the head.'' I said. ''Oh don't be daft. Sam wouldn't do that.'' She said. ''He did mum!'' Alannah butted in. ''I know you kids want your dad but Sam loves you'' She said. ''No he dosen't!'' I said. ''I'm not arguing.'' Mum said walking inside. Sam came out and said ''I heard every word!'' ''So!'' Alannah said. Sam hit Alannah really hard and Alannah cried. Alannah hit him back when mum came out. ''ALANNAH! GO TO YOUR ROOM!'' She shouted. ''FINE! I'D RATHER BE THERE.'' She yelled going to our room. I followed Alannah. At about twelve am I woke up. I woke Alannah up. ''Alannah.'' I whispered. ''What?'' She asked. ''I'm going to dad's.'' I said. ''Well so am I.'' She said. We got dressed and opened the window. We were on a downstairs building so it was fine. We climbed out and ran to our dad's. When we knocked on the door he answered. ''What are you kids doing here?'' He asked. ''Sam mum's new boyfriend is hitting us!'' Alannah said. ''Well come in.'' He said. We went in and sat down. ''So. Who is this Sam?'' He asked. ''Mums tall new boyfriend who is mean!'' I said. ''Oh really?'' He said. ''Yes.'' I said. ''Well you kids follow me I haven't finished but I was decorating your room. It was beautiful. I loved it. ''Daddy? I don't want to go home.'' I said. ''Me either.'' Alannah said.

Chapter Five-

''Well, You can stay tonight but I'll phone your mum.'' Dad said. ''Yey.'' I said. Me and Alannah went to sleep. When I woke up I was in my bed. At home. Sam came up to me and hit me so hard I screamed. Alannah came running through. ''GET YOUR HANDS OF MY LITTLE SISTER!'' She said jumping onto him. Then mum came through. ''ALANNAH!'' She yelled. Alannah jumped down and said ''HES HURTING HER AND WE'RE SICK OF IT!!!!'' Then mum said ''Stop your lying!'' Then her and Sam walked out. I opened my wardrobe and got my suitcase. ''What are you doing?'' Alannah asked. ''I'm leaving!'' I said, tears streaming down my face. Me and Alannah packed some things and climbed out the window. We were going to go to the police. But we went back to dads. ''DAD! DAD!'' Alannah shouted banging on his door. He opened it and said ''Aw! What now?'' ''That Sam has been beating up Emmy!'' She said. He lifted me up and saw a bruise on my arm. ''Come in.'' He said. We went into the living room and sat on the couch. He picked up the phone and dialed mum. About ten minutes later mum walked in. ''WHAT ARE YOU DOING! YOU CANNOT KEEP DOING THIS!'' She shouted at us. ''Look! Carrie, That new boyfriend of yours is beating up Emmy. So until he's calmed down and stopped it, They're staying here!'' Dad said calmly. Alannah smiled. ''No they are NOT!'' She said grabbing me. ''DADDY!'' I yelled. Dad came and took me of her. Mum stormed out. ''Its alright kids.'' Dad said hugging us. The next day the police came to the door. I answered. ''Oh hello, Is your daddy in.'' One asked. ''Yes, DAD!'' I said. He came to the door. ''Mr.Parker, We have recived a complaint from a women named Carrie Parker. Of kidnapping her daughters.'' The officer said. ''What! I did not. They came to me because her boyfriend Sam Jones is beating the youngest one up who is only seven!'' Dad said. ''Hmmm.. And what one is the youngest one?'' The officer asked. ''This one, Emmy.'' He said. The officer looked at the bruise's on my arms. ''Well, All we can do is install CCTV cameras in all rooms in Carrie Parker's house.'' The officer said. Dad took me and Alannah back home. Was it better? Nope. He punched Alannah! I bit him really hard in the hand. ''OUCH! Why you little-'' Sam said trying to get a hold of me. When mum walked in. ''CARRIE! ITS NOT WHAT YOU THINK!'' He said. ''Ggget out of my house!'' Mum yelled. Sam went out. Mum hugged us and said ''Kids, Im so so so sorry!'' The next day Sam Jones was in court and pleaded guilty. Mum and Dad got back together and we've moved into a bigger house. That Sam Jones will die a horrible and painful death. But as for us. We're happy.
