Help with cutenews!

Can you please tell me how to get cutenews onto your site. It says the just upload the zip file onto your host but its doesnt work. When you click on it is asks if you want to download it. PLease help. Thanks

You have to extract it

Get lost you moron,

Make sure ur host supports php,

Upload the file to public_html

zip it

Then when u do tht u have to chmod the files (setting permissions)
in data or some **** then set all the permissions under 1 folder cnt remeber name look in the tut on hbxforum\
then goto www.yoursite.com/cutenews/index.php and install it

if your using a free host then chances are you wont have php or CHMODing available to you, if thats the case give it up now. Otherwise installation is easy peasy ;)
Download file
Extract to your PC
Upload EVERYTHING
CHMOD the file called Data to 777 (i havent done it in a while i might be wrong there)
i use aceftp so for me to CHMOD a file i right click and change its properties, i wouldnt know how to help you on any other ftp software but im sure its similiar ;)

yeh i dont really know what the best ftp software is but i find aceftp to be really good, its easy to use, drag and drop files you want to move, right click to CHMOD... lovely :P
