Wan is not in the filter. Wan [R] is. Reason?
Think carefully.. what letter does the bracket [ look like to you? :p
Wan + [ resembles a naughty word :o
So now you know why it is filtered. :)

He said they only bobba'd wan.

And it isn't because it resembles the word you're thinking about.

On American Pie 3 (Great film I might add) You'll here stiffler say: "I'm gunna hang out with my wang out".

You can guess what that means in American terms so they're just making sure that Americans don't shorten the words.

American Terms? what the? you are making this up, just because its called "American Wedding" dosn't mean all that is american, So your saying that americans say this, nuh-uh, i find that offensive. So your getting your knowlege of Americans from Movies you seen? How ignorant. Anyways wan can mean lots of things, not just "wang".

Not just films I have American friends who explained it. Because when I first saw it I was like :s So I asked a friend and she explained. Wan can mean alot of things but I can't think of anything else that would be offensive. Can you think of any other word that's offensive that starts with wan? (And doesn't end in ker)
