I've had the original BG since it came out, but only recently played it, and it's absolutely amazing. I'm just wondering, is it worth buying the others?

Half and half... I would just buy it because it's part of the serise.

Another question, can you import your character from the first game into the others?

From my memory, yes, you can.

But I would check up on that.
