What would you guys expect to see layout-wise of a portfolio website [websites and graphics i have made, services and prices for your own sites ect]
i was thinking a small flash layout but i'm not very advanced with flash and wouldn't be able to [bearing in mind its a portfolio it will be made by me otherwise its not much of a portfolio!!!]

A basic small layout.
Nothing advanced just a basic design with nice header :)
Have a good menu and maybe affiliates but most of all have good content.

thanks for ur advice raremandan
I've had to make a portfolio in school for ICT.
I just made a basic layout using DIVs and one image (the logo).
If you're making a layout to show your website design skills, then you should try and make it advanced as possible. This site is nice, but it uses flash http://pixelranger.com

Old Layout, with wrong settings, because it was about 3AM when I statred the coding.
People sort of thought it was really good as a portfolio layout:

I dont see ho this is relevant, apart from the ideas.

Nets.
I don't agree that it should be advanced.
But we may share a difference of opinion on this.
On many famous webdesign and web devolopers they've seemed to have a nice JoeComins style layout but much better ( No offence Joe )

No Joe.
I'm just giving you praise here. I mean like a type of your layout only done a lot longer with more effects on photoshop.
I'm not slamming you at all!

Guys, this thread is properclones asking for ideas on a portfolio layout, not argueing.
@properclone: you should make a small layout with a minium of three or four links and an area for an iframe or something. I'll post you an example once i get the chance.

Also, we wasnt argueing, and at least our posts that were on topic had some relevance to the thread, not just what you said, with no example ''/
