I was watching You are what you eat last night, and I asked my mum if we eat healthy, but we don't really. At the moment we can't really afford anything, but I feel that I want to eat healthily, as it looked really nice! Could we still afford it if we ate that sort of food? And what foods can we not eat?
Thanks.

I love that programme. You could try cutting down on fatty foods such as:
Chocolate
Crisps
Sweets
Biscuits
CakesAnd any other fatty foods that you eat. Healthy foods are most likely to be cheaper than fatty foods. Maybe try going onto a search engine like google and searching about healthy foods. Also maybe try setting yourself a food diary and write down what you have each day. Hope everything goes ok.

I don't think it costs more. I have seen this done on TV before.

Healthy food doesn't necesserely cost more, infact its cheaper.
Its good to encourage yourself to eat some fruit, drink fluids that your body actually needs, water, milk. Think of fizzy drinks as a 'treat yourself drink', obviously don't treat yourself too much ;)
I'm sure you'll find ways of eating healthy from watching that programme.

Stick to straight out fruits and vegetables. They can't be THAT expensive.

Have smaller portions, munch on fruit or vegies for snacks, have 6-8 glasses of water a day.
Replace all your whites with browns. :) Wholemeal bread, brown sugar/honey, brown rice etc.
Ultimately just eat healthily, and before you raid the fridge ask yourself if your really hungry or eating for comfort.

By economy products. Tesco have a "Healthy Living" range, which is devoted to healthier alternatives of foods.

From what i've learnt in life. You can basically eat what you want.
But when your not eating healthily you need too excersise more.
You could try doing all these everyday
- Eating 3 peices of fruit
- Drinking 8 glasses of water
- Running/Cycling 1 mile
- Have a salad once every week
-Stay off fatty products such as chocolate, crisps
Basically eat a balanced diet and excersise well, it doesn't cost much in which case an apple costs less than a bar of chocolate.

I have some suggestons.
Cut down on the bad things like chocolate and crisps, and you shall be able to buy things like pumpkin seeds which go ace in salads. Also, see if you can cut the fat off meat if you eat meat.
Dunno if these help.
