Smite and sara god spell are things that lower your prayer as far as I know..

Verac- thru armour
Karil- Lowers agillity
Dharock- hits high on low hp
Guthan- heals
Ahrim- Lowers strenght
Torag- drains energy

and I know that ahrim lowers strenght because I had it and tried ^_^
