here is a list of some scams and how to avoid them

1. canceling and re-trading
way to solve - when trading dont agree straight away look at what you are trading (hold mouse over item to see name)

2. "rare furni"
way to solve - check habbox by clicking here (http://www.habbox.com) and then go on rares and see if your rare that you are trading for is there if not it might be only given out by hotel staff habbo club or not real habbo furni

3. race rooms
way to solve - in races dont p2s (pay to stay) because the owner might have a clone racing and if it looses it pretends to pay so u keep ps2 and then u wont win

4. casinos
way to solve - dont bet unless its your friends that you really trust because you might bet and the dealer run off but habbo dont agree with casinos but they let you have them only to keep you and your furni safe

5. password scam
way to solve - it may be tempting but never give your password out to people saying they can get you free credits because they will log onto your account and then steal all your furni

another password scam is where someone says ill go out of the room and you say the password but they might have a clone in a non-linking teleporter
so you say it and they hear still

6. teleporter scam
way to solve - dont trade for teleporters unless the person you are trading will prove that they link because they might give you teleporters that are non-linking teleporters so... always test before you buy them

7. habbo furni from e-bay?
way to solve - even though it may seem really good because things are cheap its not really a good idea because they might not give the furni even though you may take away thier feedback that will not make them give it you

8. habbo for runescape?
way to solve - never buy runescape for habbo because people will ask you to go first so they can run off with your things (i wouldnt advise this anyway)

9. callie + msn?
way to solve - callie will never add you on msn/yahoo/windows messenger because of security reasons although scammers will pretending to be callie/hotel manager
and thay will ask for your password just delete these people and block them

i hope you have not fallen asleep wile reading this i was merley giving advice to those people who might not know what scamming is or people who want to know how to prevent scamming

although not all the scams are there these are some popular ones so dont fall for any

You cannot tell people how not to be scammed. People will probably still be scamed. You can only advise people. It all comes down to how stupid or gullible the actual person who could be scammed is.

Usually, once you get scammed, you don't get scammed again.
