Do you believe in heaven and hell?

I do.. And this isn't a random thread my step nan died last night and i really want to believe there is one but there is evidence that there isn't :(

I don't believe in god and all that stuff but i believe in heaven and hell cos its kinda comforting to know that after we die we're gna go somewhere.
Anyway do you believe in it? If so whyy

Not really.. Once your dead, You're dead. If someone went to heaven they wouldnt be able 2 tell us. because they are dead.

I believ in that Aye. Otherwise why do we see orbs? (Orb's are first sign's of ghosts) and Light Onomelies(Spelling). I watch most haunted and things like that. Things move in the night and things happen but they happen slowly....

whoever said it was up above? Apparently when u die you see a light [which i think is like a gateway opening into heaven] Its all the films etc that says its up ;]

Anyway, my theory, people are made up of energy, energy can't be destroyed so it has to go somewhere.

Nenywho, if you had all the bits of a person, all those cells, all those chemicals, cells. Parts we know are their, parts we can contain, if you had all those pieces you still wouldn't be able to make a person, theirs that extra bit the so called "soul" What is the one thing that we know of that can't be contained? Light, what is light energy. That is why i think we are made up of energy, which also means the "soul" cant be destroyed. It HAS to go somewhere.

My older brother was born, but was dead because the umbilical cord strangled him and it stopped getting food and oxygen to him. In the grave there is a grave stone about 5 meters away from him and it says as the date: "1st April 1992" Whats weird is that I was born that day.

I know alot of familys where a loved one has died around the same time a baby is born. My best mates niece died 1 week after her dad died.

I really dunno , its nice to think you'll go somewhere good when you die, but when your unconsious, you dont think anything, you dont feel anything, I 50/50 chance, could death just leave you unconsious for the rest of your life ( I hope you understand lol) or could you go somewhere else, no one knows..

I dont believe in Heaven or Hell, I believe that we are all born with the ability to lead our own life, and to do how we choose and of course eventually we must all die. But when we die, thats it and nothing more. Think about it and you will understand how I do i hope :p We are nothing more than human's, why should we get any special treatment when we die? because we are the smartest species on the planet?

If there ever was any reward for us in the "afterlife" it would of been taken away the moment we started to destroy each other, All other religions have different gods because as a human we are weak and scared so we need something to believe in which is what God gives us, a pair of arms to fall back into so that we can escape the envitable thought of death.

I believe that when we die, we're just gone. I believe you just lay there dead forever. I think the belief in an afterlife is just people's idea that they aren't just going to be gone forever and are going to be able to be happy forever so they don't get insecure about dying. If that makes sense..

Reincarnation, however. I'm not sure if I believe in that or not.

Whats the point in life If your jsut going to go to heaven Or hell, You might say because of the bad people, well people are only bad because of the way they are rasied as a child, well we all could be born in Heaven and because eery thing is ment to be perfect there you know, No one would turn out to be a bad person. Plus I think hell and that was "made" up in the old times to scare people so they would behave and it would keep order , my Point of view :P Or a way to Get to scare people like if you dont Belive in god and that you go to hell

I think that you have to go somewhere, but no idea where.. I don't believe in heaven and hell, so yeah.. because you can't die, because your 'spirit'/'soul' can't die..

Also, I don't believe in heaven and hell because its just so.. unreal? I mean, if you go to heaven/hell you can't stay there FOREVER - because nothing lasts forever..
