Christmas Story
The Cold Turkey

Chapter One

The cold snow trickled down the houses. The snow started to pile up as the hours steadied on. The wet weather made the Winter season in Newcastle more appealing considering all the children in the city were out playing in the snow. The cold weather rapidly started to grow colder and colder and temperatures started to fall rapidly. It had to come to everyone being indoors considering strong winds were pulling through the city and managing to lift cars out into the road. The snow started to rise and by Thursday Morning, the snow had reached to a high limit of 7ft deep. The snow didnt stop there. By 10am, the snow had finally gone down.. That's what everyone thought.

" Lucy, do you want some breakfast " Mum shouted from downstairs
" No thanks Mum, i'm going to have a lie-in " I shouted
" Ok, get up soon though, were going to get some Christmas Shopping " Mum replied
" Ugh! OK " I shouted louder

Sorry, I havn't introduced myself to you yet have I?.. Sorry, I am Michelle, i'm 14 and I am what you would find as a normal, average Year 9 girl. I love my make-up, I love my music and love my girlish feelings. I am pretty annoyed with all the snow in Newcastle right now. Last year, we were lucky if we got 2ft of snow. 7ft of snow has made it quite hard to go shopping. It's quite hard to even get into the back garden! Oh well, atleast I made a snowman yesterday. Today is Thursday December 22 2005, only 3 days till Christmas. My Mum and Dad usually leave the Christmas Shopping till the last few days. I find that really annoying considering there are hundreds of the public rushing into the shops to get there hands on Christmas presents. Mum is very good at it though, she is a fast runner..

Mum works as a Sports Trainer so no wonder she can run fast as she can. I usually get a stitch trying to keep up with her considering she's always miles ahead from me!
Dad works as a Computer Technician at Newcastle Telewest Arena. He has to make sure that all the graphics and settings and lights are put into place before shows made by the artists. It's pretty cool really.

I managed to pull myself out of bed and get into my dressing gown. I am usually a heavy sleeper! I managed to pull myself onto my dressing chair and sit down thinking of what I would do today. I peered outside the window and had a shock I would never forget!
