I Need A Free Image Editor......

I am looking for a free image editor/creator that I can make a decent banner with. I need something that has a tool so when you click on a certain color it will allow you to cut just that color or object out. Any suggetions?

Cant think of any free. but photoshop has a free 30 day trial. and Psp8 has a free 60 day trial?
