No you don't lose money. If you sell all chaos you get each run you can easily buy more prayer pots. I made over 2.4mill just today from it + runes, so barrows.

Dude I make (or can make since me = lazy) 600k+ a day buying yews and strings, cutting then stringing then sell em 600 each. It's really easy money.

Fletching is better in the long run as it highly increases magic levels, and when you can fletch magic longs then you will be in the money :D
