View Full Version : Attempt at a ISO multiplayer game
So many people on this forum attempt to make one, but don't even reach writeing the first line of code so I decided to give it a try today.
This is about an hours work (quite long, most of it spent testing things out).
I haven't made a log in system yet, so theres 2 avatars (well boxes), which you can move arround by selecting red or green.
I suggest you sellect red as the green co ords are borked and need sorting out, (I think I've mixed X and Y up rofl).

Yeah the green square is broken because I'm an idiot. I put the X cords where the Y cords should of gone.

Man thats awesome josh, im gonna ask you to teach me how to do that on msn :), and as for jango city now ive seen what uve done, jango citys never going to happen :)

ive made and online version of mine but it wont connect to the electroserver on my pc so ive posted on electro server forums

But you haven't though, and don't post about your flash in my thread. Its annoying enough hearing about that thing which will never happen everwhere else on the forum (Your flash can't go online, its a script which moves the person anywhere and therefore can't be aligned to a grid. Also there is no mechanism for allowing more than one character, and you've spent more time making fake people which talk to you pretending to be online than anything else).

Jango City=No Site Even Up Yet...
Jango City will never work, all it has is a flash which wont work online. And the character goes where ever you click on the page.
Oh and some pixel art, the characters are supposedly stolen and the rest is terrible.

If i can get my java compiler to work im gona teach myself to do a simlar thing in that. Mainly becuse java seems to be a better platform for a multiplaying game, as well as meaning i dont have to spash out buying the latest macromeda products "/ Athogh due to my lack of time the actal event of that happening is probly in the distant future "/
I think Jango City will happen. Even though i dont have a clue of how to do a Multiplayer game, I think Ozzie-ing might be able to get away with it somehow.:s

From what i've heard and seen. He can get an offline 1 player version.
But he can't get the online multiplayer working.

i couldnt do it b4 cause i needed to configure some electroserver things cause mine was bodged up but it should be ok now

The offline game wont work as multiplayer, you do actually have to code the game to be online. I'm guessing you're using some kind of premade server, well you'll have to code it to work with that. I seriously doubt you'll be able to, unless they practically give you the code which I highly don't expect they'll do. Good luck, as you're gonna need it.

You wont be able to complete your challenge, untill you do stop making hundreds of threads with release dates etc.

No I don't use some pre-made thing..
I'm not getting on at you Nets, but could you get off the kids case? C'mon let him have a go at it. If he fails then I'll see you were right.

Stop making pointless threads about it's release date, remember what i told you. Besides it probably wont be online for when you say, as your guess is only a guess, people will complain like "ommgzz u sed it would lyke b op3n 4 6th junezzzz!!!111one1!"
