Habbo Hotel will not close down until Sulake Ltd begin to lose profits.
Last year (2004) they had a £12 million turn over from what I remember. In 2005, with the addition of battle ball, I'd expect it to be nearly double that, if they reveal.

What happens when they run out of games like Battle Ball. Just like the lido and the rooftop battle ball will get old.

If you remember, back in 2001 they took it upon themselves to create the Hotel, and dreamed it would turn into what it is now.
Now we're in 2006, I'm sure we can look forward to some amazing features coming our way, that will make THEM an amazing amount of money.
If you think about the amount of people paying £2.50 per month for HC, that will easily make them at least £3 million a year.

Then they raise the prices up ridiculously :P Im not joking sadly...
or they could sell special badges 50 credits for a guitar badge e.t.c but then everyone would have them so they wouldnt be worth anything but then people would buy them and sulake would get more profit, then no-one would buy them anymore becuase they got old then sulake brought something else riduculous out, and then that gets old e.t.c e.t.c and the whole thing never ends....

Think about all the things they could do but haven't yet.
If you notice, they keep on re-releasing rares before bringing out new ones, and there are now 60 new rares to keep them entertained.
If they wanted, they could easily make around £500,000 just by putting the Thrones in the catalouge. If they started to sell badges like Always Salon for 50 credits each, per month, tones would complain, but they'd still make MASSIVE amounts from it.

If they put badges in the cat. They would have nothing to lose.. They can just make some badges up and sell them.. They would make amazing profits..

With the amount of money Sulake is making, I highly doubt they will close in 2010.

You also need to remember that the teenagers of today, are the adults of tomorrow.
Most users are 13-16.

15 --> 19
16 --> 20
4 years from now. You can see why they advertise so much.

Indeed, theyve already released that DISGUSTING new pillar, and if you search Callie and go to Habblantis there is a beautiful sky blue dragon which I am sure they are going to release...

True. If little kids keep joining on, and they raise the prices of credits that could make amazing profits.

Having the 60 rares they do, that should last time until around 2010.
Think about it, before V7, they'd been going 4 years with only 10 rares, I believe it was?
Raise Credit Prices? - Wouldn't be a wise move for Sulake. 10p per credit is quiet enough to make them big bucks.

Thats true but think about how many rares were released in the past 2 months. Thats alot. And if they keep that up they will run out easily
well if they raise credit prices, the people that r addicted to the game will just pay the extra 3p or w/e

Then they pick on supers and/or start re-releasing!
All they need is to say Dave is back in the Hotel, we'll be releasing all rares for an hour. 60 hours of rares, another £600,000. :)

Think back to you being that age. If you saw that advert on MSN, TV or on your favourite Pokemon website, you'd think "Wow! Cooool!" and go to it, and, within minutes, knick the phone and buy 10 credits!
It only takes 10 credits from EVERY user in the Hotel to make them £15 million.. Which will be way over the cost of advertising on MSN. (£250,000, or around that mark)

Sulake go out of business? Oh, please..
As long as there are kids with nothing better to do, they'll never go out of business.
Habbos not closing any time soon unless they go bankrupt but they make millions a year so i doubt that
Yeh, i seriously doubt that they will close....
New owners is likely.

Why would sulake close down whilst they are making millions in profit each year?
And why would they invest in advertisement like MSN if they are just wasting there money?
well in my opinion if you are still playing habbo in 2010 then you are just sad....

£2 million X 52 = £104 million.
I doubt there profit is THAT high.

Well, there is 17 (I think) hotels worldwide, earning money each day. There is more hotels to come (China) so im sure they can get money from there. I dont think battleball has been introduced into every Hotel yet, Im sure with the HC people buy and things from the Catolouge they will have enough money ;).

Plus, what is the point in making rares when people won't see them or have them? I gave a long boring lecture to someone who thought Callie made the rares and basically owned the Hotel. They soon shut up.
