Does anybody know how much the xbox 360's where before christmas? Because i just went to derby, and GAME is selling them for £600?. So was HMV :s

I thought they said that PS3 Would be dearer?

They are selling them in large packages because they got them in big packages rather than the core and premium. I got mine off ebays for £300 (core)

Ha! Through £500 down the drain for a stupit PS3 with the boomerang styled controler. They are stupit. Xbox 360 is the console of the new gen. Sony had their day, but Xbox will have theirs.

If they sell the core then they will have to sell the 6 games seperate meaning they'll probably take longer to sell overall. Coming up to christmas on ebay you could sell your core for about £300-350 or a premium for £400-450. Thats how I bought mine :)

Don't worry, they're only selling them in the £600 rip-off packs because they've got such limited stock. They know that because 360's are so scarce at the moment people will buy them anyway.

When Microsoft ship some more the reasonable prices will return :)

No you lot are getting it wrong, its £600 for the Xbox 360 premium package, there are also another 2 Wireless controllers included, and all 9 UK Games that were with it on UK release. Game are doing this because as this is such demand for the Xbox 360 and there arent enough to go round, the ones they do get in, they will sell to people who are willing to take a lot of other stuff of their hands aswell. well i bought my xbox 360 for £700, with 8 games 2 wire less controlers and i bought the wireless network adaptor and the 20gb hard drive for £200 , and the xbox 360 live and headset , so i spent about £1000 on my xbox 360

I have collected all the Xbox mags for the past year and have all the current 360 magazines, if you could point out where exactly it said that the playstation 3 would be better, I would be very pleased. But all you need the HD for on Xbox Live is for downloading and saving games from the Arcade and getting add-ons from the Marketplace. You can still play online just fine.
