So, www.HabboHotel.com have got Habbo's heads filled with 'Habbo's can be Hobba's!' with this going around, many people (including myself) have visited .com and bought credits there, just for the opportunity to have a badge. Well after speaking too a few silvers i've come too the conclusion it isn't what it's cracked up too be.

CAN:
Mute
Alert
Get kicked from rooms

CANNOT/DOES NOT
Get free HC
Get into full rooms
Take calls
Get free credits/furni.

So, is it what its cracked up to be?

Surely that isn't really the right attitude to take. If all you want to be a Hobba for is to ban people or get other features why bother? I think that what should motivate people to be Hobbas is a genuine desire to help others and protect them from scams. That's why I applied anyway ;). Initially, the Hobbas on .co.uk were just hotel guides (officially they still are), as they are apparently on .com now. As the hotel grows, the staff will no longer be able to handle it so well by themselves, and they may give Hobbas extra powers. Besides, as the age limit on .com is apparently 13, I'm not sure it would be sensible to allow them to ban people. I'm certainly not sure I would trust a 13 year old with that power. Imagine they had a grudge against someone. Would the average 13 year old really have the strength of character to avoid using their powers inappropriately? And yes, I am aware that some 13 year olds are very mature and etc, but let's face it, a lot of them aren't.

yes, but imagine the possibilities! :)
You Do not get hc, but you get the clothes, and the room layouts.

if you go on to become gold/SH, you CAN mute, kick, take call, advise, use :furni, ETC

Hobbas Never Get free credits/furni. even if you become gold/SH

Maybe if you DO have this attitude, you shouldnt become a hobba?

people dont be hobbas for the perks. they do it to help fellow habbos. when the staff think that an application is sent in by a habo who wants the job as a ceremonial postion, he/she will just discard it.
