Community Manager, Online Children's Community Game
(Los Angeles, USA)
Sulake is a games development company specialising in massively multiplayer online games (MMOGs) and communities. We are looking for an experienced, dynamic online Community Operations Manager to oversee daily operations of a new multiplayer online community game for children.
The Community Manager is primarily responsible for managing a sizeable remote and on-site staff, maintaining online safety, recruiting, training and managing in-game Moderators, as well as recruiting, training and managing the Player Support team.
In addition, this role involves:
* regular communication with the players, staff, and parents, both online and offline
* tracking and updating member information and community interaction
* customer database management, analysing and generating reports on player activity
* liaising with our client
* managing our 'Community Leaders' scheme where players gain 'game guide' status
Desired Skills
* Computer and Internet literate
* 3-4 years of Online Community Management (with some Customer Services experience)
* Supervisory experience
* Excellent communication skills (including grammar, spelling, syntax, typing, etc.)
* Ability to work with teenagers and children
* Team player
Job Requirements
* Online safety management and education
* Player Support (Customer Services) tasks (problem resolution, troubleshooting, interacting with players)
* Recruiting, training and supervising Moderators
* Recruiting, training and supervising Hosts
* Working closely with the Sulake Community Team while working well independently
* This job is a full-time salaried position, on-site, in our Santa Monica, CA office
