[LIP PIERCING HELP] Lip swollen up HUGE

I wasn't sure whether or not to put this in Discuss Anything or Health Tips and Advice, so if this is in the wrong section feel free to move it.




Anyway, on Monday I got my lip pierced for the second time. It was swollen a little bit, but not too bad. But that was normal, cause all lip piercings swell up. But last night while I was half asleep I bumped my lip pretty hard with my hand and it was pretty painful. Now I wake up, and my lip is swollen up HUGE.

It's like 4 times as swollen as when I got it pierced. It doesn't hurt, but it is so huge, and very very noticable. I'm really worried and I don't know what to do. I've tried putting ice on it but I don't think that'd work.

I'm really concerned, and I'm so emberassed I walk around with my hand over my mouth so nobody sees it.

Erm maybe it got infected overnight, you might want to go see your doctor. As if it is an infection it could get VERY worse...

Sounds like it got infected i would go and see your doctor a.s.a.p or it will just get worse.

I think it's hot, I pierced my own lip [Painful, but yes hot] ANYWAY.. maybe its infected try and take it out, I know it might close up but yeah ;]
