does anyone know a password protection HTML script thats askes the user for the username and password then if there correct it sends the user to another page n if its wrong it sends them to the index.
and if its possible can the usernames and passwords be stored in a seporate file.

Use a MySQL Database too store the passwords and encrypt them in MD5

oh yer by the way my host doesnt let me use MYSQL cuz ill have to pay extra to use them.
is it possable to store it in a simple fikle like a seporate HTML file or a txt file?

If you have cPanel then you can use .ht access too password protect directories but not encrypt passwords or anything.
I don't think you can. Unless you use flatfiles but I don't know if your host would allow them either.
