Actually there is nothing but rap on MTV. Id watch MTV if I liked rap, there are a lot of different rappers (even though they all look the same to me) on that, not just eminem.

They also play rock bands that everyone that's into the underground scene LOVED TO DEATH. Then, as soon as they became KNOW FOR THEIR MUSIC, the 'fans' turned their backs on them and called them 'sell-outs'. I don't listen to much rock and I KNOW you LOVED Green Day, didn't ya? DIDN'T YA? What do you mean the 'look' alike? Music wise, they are all very similar because they are following a certain 'formula' to sell their albums to kids. It's ironic when an artist says "I make music for the hood" when they really should say "I make music for suburban white kids". If you're implying that rap isn't music, I feel bad for you. i do listen to other rappers excluding eminem Eg: tupac, notorious BIG, 50 cent, the game.. its just that most of the members on the forum they talk about eminem more because he's everywere at the moment, and due to his retiring, people are going to miss his music and post treads.

I dont like new green day not because they became mainstream. They gave up what they used to believe in. They used to not care, they had something good going. Then they started to have a cause, which is the opposite of what they started out with. And Green Day did not turn mainstream with American Idiot, they became mainstream in the late 90's, and their music was still good. Its not that I dont like them making money either, make a dollar, make a million, I dont care. It doesnt change anything.

To those who were offended by what I said, the truth hurts, doesn't it? Hip-Hop and R&B nowadays is targeted and marketed to women. It's not about lyrical skill or who can sing anymore, it's about who is 'cute'. I don't have a problem with club music at all (girls dancing :eusa_danc) but it needs to stay at the club, not radio.

What if I want a friend or someone to talk to without having to be an official couple? Since when does not having a serious relationship imply intercourse only? I'd say that sexual intercourse is a very serious and important part of a relationship. However, I still stand by my statement that it's physical, not emotional.

Not at all. It was all real talk. I know there are those few simps that do care about a girl's feelings and would do anything for them. Now why would you edit my post? You can't explain yourself because you can't back up your statements. You asked for an emoticon and I got one. The 'rolling eyes' smiley can also be considered as defeatist. It only goes to show that you were bothered by my statement. Then again, it's just a virtual face. What difference does it make? What difference does it make? It's a damn smiley. If you have to revert to use one to express yourself, without the typed words to speak for themself, then it's automatically not a strong post. I'm including my own, before you try to You catching feelings shows how weak you get over a forum. This is the Internet. You think I'm ****y, huh? At least I have self-esteem. So you don't feel like answering that question ("Why did you edit my post?"). What was your point in editing my post? You do need to explain that part. Did it add to anything? You're contradicting yourself, too. You say that I explained my post LATER ON but also want me to do everyone a favor by explaining myself NOW? Make sense. At the end of the day, I'm right, as usual. I hope you're not the type of person that gets online in attempts to 'son' or 'own' random people. Mos Def, Talib Kweli, and Common are amazing. Eminem can rhyme, don't get me wrong. It seems as if these days he's more concerned with things other than hip-hop. Underground isn't always better, either. Like mainstream rap, underground rap can be terrible, too. There should only be two categories when judging music: Good and Bad.

Heh, funny you should say so because I was talking about this yesterday to my freind.
The only artist in mainstream at the moment I'm liking is Kanye, he raps logical ****, which i'm interested in. I'd say that underground varies really, yeh you get your John Cena's who are lyrically crap and tuff rappers who can rhyme 16 bar.

Mainstream for me, yeh its good but i'll leave most of that to the clubs. I heard Talib has got a new albulm, and i'm trying to get ahold of Kanye's unofficial late reg albulm, theres meant to be some tracks in there that are meant to be quite good.

I didn't like Late Registration as much as I liked College Dropout. "Heard Em Say" is the only good single he's released so far. He's not lyrical, but Young Jeezy's album is fire! Most of the south is for clubs and dancing, which I have no problem with. New York rap will always be the best. Although he's retired, Jay-Z stays in the mainstream. Say what you want about him, but he just may have been the best commercial rapper to do it. I'll go as far to say he's better than Biggie, but that shouldn't shock anyone. He has lots more material along with concept songs and better lyrics. Very diverse artist.

Nar man, I agree, Jay-Z is a tough rapper, theres various opinions on lots of different stuff about Biggie and Jigga'. Obviously Jay-Z has made his cash flow but his music for me is lyrically obserred which for me is amazing.
Still though Biggie's tough also fit with some good rhyme.
I'm gonna pay a closer attention to Talib Kwali though, my freind has reccomended him as we were talking yesterday and this mans on fire at the mo.
Edit: Outkast are heavy, for me one of the best groups around.
