View Full Version : About MODs, and None on to moniter 1,000 Habbos

It's true. Although, yes, it is not peak hour, there is currently at 02:17, with over 1,000 online (1,147) no MODs.

I Called for Help to report an abuser, to no avail, and I checked all MODs via the console.

Is it fair when we CFH when someone in the rooms is abusing people with no possible help? For all of Habbo's 24-hour Moderation, there are non MODs on. 5 MODs have not even signed on for 6 months.

Perhaps someone can shed some light on this.

Urm, you are searching for MOD names on console at 02:17?

I think it's fair to say you lack any normality and insanity.

That's not the point Asher. The Hotel is supposed to have 24 hour Moderation.

Did it ever occur to you that not EVERYONE who goes on Habbo UK is actually from the Uk?

P.S I think it's fair to say you lack normality and SANITY :P

Lol Ty Dia.

I'm Australian. I translated my GMT + 11 time to your UK time.

So to you it's a pretty normal time to be logging in on Habbo hotel.... Which is supposed to be moderated properly >:l

That's right Dia :)

I suppose someone might say I should change to the AU Habbo...but I started at the UK one years ago.
I saw no point in moving when I had so much furniture in the UK Habbo. For me, it's the afternoon, and soon to be the evening. For other users like me, there is no Moderation.

What I'm saying is that with so many Habbos online there would at least be two :)

Thank you for your support again.

Dont worry Lewis i think your right it said theres meant to be 24 hour moderation on the hotel its pretty disappointing when no one is on to help you thats why i think we should get hobbas back

Well there are other moderator's not listed on the site as the moderator list hasn't beed updated recently. One might have been/is on..

Valid Point, but I checked for a few other MODs not on the list like MOD-Hermione but none came up.

Dude, MOD's work from housekeeping... there's lots of mods without the 'MOD-[username]' prefix. MOD's don't have to be logged into the hotel at all.

can someone please tell me what housekeeping is?

Baving
11-01-2006, 07:25 AM
Housekeeping is where moderators are able to use their tools such as ban / kick / alert etc... From house keeping they are also able to view calls for help, search users profiles, view chat logs and alot more.

If there are no moderators on the hotel, it doesn't mean that there isn't any in housekeeping.

MOD's as a rule should be online, and setting an example to Habbos but as Baving said, they can be active within the housekeeping but not the hotel. Some calls do require help in the hotel though, so technically moderators should be using both simultaniously. Also some calls don't need to be answers personally, they can be dealt with and left without informing you that the situation is closed.

I would have thought that when moderators are online they do have both housekeeping and the hotel open. I must admit when ever I have searched there has been at least 2 moderators online.

That's because during the day, there are two mods online. During 1-9am BST I think there's one online.

You have to remember that the Moderator list has lack of updates and there are MOD-'s without their name listed - MOD-Sailor, MOD-Rango, MOD-Hermione and some other Moderators don't have their names listed.

Moderators can be online through HouseKeeping, and take them through there as Baving said. While I do agree with Baving, Moderators should be online on Hotel View - it isn't really a huge differance as most of the calls they get require either a kick, alert or ban. So this is all remote anyway.

housekeeping? o_O but if no moderators are attending then how is safety meant to be kept?

it takes time for the the mods and the staff to check bak on the history and stuff :l

True. But they could also use the this as an excuse, I mean...We don't know if their in housekeeping or not, But if they were and not logged into the hotel. and the user reported or users reported were not actioned or banned then it does lead you to think that there were actually no mods moderating the hotel. :)

Isnt this why hobba's was removed they also used housekeeping and it broke that's why there were removed.
Anyone Moderators work from home and moderators work shift's giving to them by habbo or sulake so i should imagine there is always a moderator online maybe more than 3 at once, If you get alot of people to report at same time or report alot a MOD will eventually come just be patient.

Im preety sure there would of been someone moderating the hotel. seeing as being a moderator is a proper job unlike a hobba. they are set the hours by sulake or whatever and they have to stick to them hours if they dont they will probably be sacked. and i dont think sulake would make it thats theres no mods moderating.

The Moderator FAQ's have not been updated in a while. there are some who are no longer mods still on that page, there are many not on there who should be, there will have been someone on.

Habbo said they would be ''24 hour help'' but then again some MODs don't need to be in there MOD name.

I don't know who told you that but they were wrong. All Moderators are required to be logged into the hotel aswell as housekeeping during their shift. They've got to be avilable to goto rooms in cases of door blocking for example or they've got to goto a room when they wan't further info from a habbo before applying a saftey ban. They all get a username which starts with "MOD-" and the only people without a MOD- username which have any power on the hotel are staff members, noone else.

It could well be that a moderator had computer problems and contacted Sulake and so a staff member couvered the shift on their own username as they would'nt have a MOD- one.

Not all UK Habbo MOD's are from the UK, they don't have the same laws as US etc.

How come you all automatically think OMG!! Scandal!?

Some of you already said there could be one of the many mods not on the list moderating the Hotel. The moderator could also have been disconnected from ingame for a few mins. They could have been appearing offline because of lag when they logged back in.

Theres loads of explinations that could be true, other then "OMG MODS ARNT DOING THEIR JOBS! LETS GO PROTEST IN HALLWAY 1!!!!" <- yes thats an exaggeration... :)

For the MODs night signing in for 6 months, perhaps a name change?

Diabolos
04-02-2006, 03:27 AM
You're right, they DON'T have to be logged in.. but the hotel isn't as busy at night when he is using it so why couldn't they give him any replies at least?

Also all moderators have ''MOD-'' at the start of their name, no undercover moderators i'm afraid.

right, the deal with the mods is all there shifts finish at 12 at night an start at 9 in the morning they can do there 2-3 hour shift in between that time, mods dont have to be on sulake staff are in the HQ 24/7 and the techie staff have more powers than the HM herself (info from joeh, use to be a techie) so
they do the CFH from midnight onwards

MODs don't need to be on habbo to moderator the hotel, they can do it via HK. I think them getting rid of Hobbas was a bad idea though.
