New camera any good?

I went to radio shack and got a 7.0 Megapixel optical zoom camera,
They said optical zoom is better then digital zoom, was they right cause i dunno the price was way higher the camera i got cost 499

optical is better than digital because digital just makes the picture bigger where as optical actually zooms :)

Depends on what you are focusing on when you zoom.. what you are aiming to do..

I think digital zoom is better than optical up to a certain point (4x me thinks) but after that optical zoom quality is better
