Hey,

I think you need to re-do the colours on that template and the iframe is horrible. Don't use Iframes as you can use CSS and make it expandable.

Considering the fact you haven't been here long, you haven't had past experience of what this "boy" is like (the thread starter/web owner). He purposely posts about this glorified site every day, or used to, which angered people. It is sort of turning into a pet hate to hate his site because the owner is an arrogant little ninny who cannot take the hint that he is hated for glorifying a glorified site and putting down other peoples sites that are very better than his.

Anyway.

1/10 on the layout. The colours are extremely terrible and do make people sick. Perhaps every iframe thingy hould be the ornage in the banner and inbetween each iframe should be a yellow-orange colour.

The 1 Alteration on the site is extremely terrible, saved in the wrong format which explains the terrible quality. 3/10 for that and I think half the images in it are actually ripped from the recoloured alteration forum.

The picture page is kinda pointless. You basically saved images off of HabboHotel.co.uk, Habbos.co.uk and other sites.

Overall, 3/10.

Your site isn't a Habbo Production site, you've taken the name out of context. People are thinking before they go on the site that you make Film, Theatre Productions etc.

Your pages are pointless and you have no unique content.

Constructive Criticism is the pointless way of getting your point across. Negative Criticism is really what helps sites progress further because you point out the bad things more exaggeratedly.

Hey,

I understand what your saying about the negative criticism but it's not needed in fact a rule on most popular webdesign forums is ' Only constructive Critique '

It puts people moral up but when you give out negative it puts peoples moral down. And also I think Constructive gets your point across because if something good as well as bad is said they can improve on it while if you just blatently slam the site and owner. It's just wrong and really it shows you cannot be mature about it.

It all depends on the sort of person you are criticising really. Whether they have a strong morale or a weak one. If you have a weak one you are surely to fail in Web Design unless you have a team of strong, hard woking people designing templates and making pages.

Just wondering, have you been on this forum before with another account if ozzie-ing says you have?

I personally think it is you who shut up. You are making your friend look like he is a weakling, who cannot talk, which he certainly isn't by the looks of it. You are acting like a bodyguard.. Besides, it was a general mis-understanding and I didn't exactly call him a newb "/ I was enquiring over the fact that he may not of known about this persons over advertising in the past.

Hey,

Good point in a lot of that.

And yes I was Raremandan the illitirate newb who liked to skitz on this forum lol, i've changed now and consider everyones opinion.

And true to the fact if you have low moral you will probably fail in Web Design but none the less lets all try to remain friendly and post only constructive.

But then again we are all entitled to our own opinions so i'll give you that.

Hey,

ROFL about that article Josh.

Let me post the thread on NMO about the new IE security flaw.

Huge virus threat rocks Microsoft
Report says a newly discovered flaw could expose hundreds of millions of Windows PCs to virus.
January 3, 2006: 11:08 AM EST

NEW YORK (CNNMoney.) - The new year is off to a rocky start at Microsoft, where security experts are scrambling to confront a potentially massive virus threat to Windows PCs.

According to a report Tuesday in the Financial Times, the latest vulnerability involves a flaw which allows hackers to infect computers using programs inserted into image files. The threat was discovered last week. But it mushroomed over the weekend, when a group of hackers published the source code they used to exploit the flaw.

What makes this threat particularly vicious, according to the Times, is that unwitting victims can infect their computers simply by viewing a web page, e-mail, or instant message that includes a contaminated image. That differs from most virus attacks, which require a user to actually download an infected file.

"The potential [security threat] is huge," Mikko Hypponen, chief research officer at F-Secure, an antivirus company, told the Times. "It's probably bigger than for any other vulnerability we've seen.

"Any version of Windows is vulnerable right now," said Mr. Hypponen, including every Windows system shipped since 1990.

Microsoft (Research) said in a security bulletin on its Web site, "we are working closely with our antivirus partners and aiding law enforcement in its investigation."

The infected files are saved in the Windows Metafile (WMF) format, but can be labeled as standard JPEG and GIF files, the most common type of images found in webpages and e-mails. The hackers use the entry point to install hidden programs that can launch pop-up ads or steal passwords and other sensitive information.

Schmugar says that while the threat is very real, it's contained up to now by the fact that only a small group of websites, well off the beaten path of most surfers, contain the malicious code. "The chances of you going to one of these sites is pretty low," he says, adding, "We're not aware of a mass spamming of this exploit at this time." Still, he cautions, anything could happen. "We'll just have to wait and see."

The flaw will actually install ON ITS OWN if you are using Internet Explorer. That's why it's such a critical flaw.

If you are using FireFox you get a popup asking you if you want to run the script found in the image file.

It's still possible to be infected with FireFox too, you just have to click an "ok" button for it to happen.

That proves FireFox is safer than IE where in FF you have to accept things while in IE the flaw is that it downloads automatically FF has proven to be the next big thing and IE7 will be more a less the same as FF with tabbed menu and more security.

The site needs to be done over, the colours are horrible no offense and you need writers etc, because the grammar/spelling isn't great to. But still, with lots of work it could turn out to be a half decent website...

I only back up Habbox when a site is worse than them. Get your facts right. For example, the whining, angry people from a specific word filtered site. When they come in here whining about something I have no idea about and say how "crap" Habbox is, I back Habbox up (as in the forum, I do really need to be more specific) because I find Habbox more interesting than most the pages on that specific site. And this specific site that they come from is basically filled with aload of angry teenagers, who take over cutenews systems because they have hardly anything better to do. They moan about us being "Safety Freaks?" We moan about them for having no lives and being swearing, angry, tantrum throwing teenagers.

I shall illustrate further to make it more understandable.

I hate KFC and I don't really like Burger King. If someone says "KFC is way better than Burger King," I will say " I have to disagree, KFC is discusting and the chances that the chicken is cooked is very minimal, however. Burger King has had very low criticisms for making people sick."

SO it isn't exactly hypocritical, it is basically picking out the better site or restaurant. I dislike Habbox.com, but I hate the specific site I was on about. So Habbox.com gets a small vote from me. The Forum however is a completely different story, because it is ahuge community, but does have it's problems. Compared the "specific site's forum" I find Habbox Forum again better, because all you see on the specific site's forum is aload of swearing angry children screaming over scripting codes and takeovers on sites, which may I add is kinda pointless.

NOTE: I take the word "Children" out of context alot, but if you tone down their swearing and whining, it is like an adult has taught a child to swear and when they get angry they use those words. Especially when you consider half of the users are too dumb to realise what the words actually mean "/

Plus, why does the specific site think I whine?!? I moan!
