My Boyfriend recieved glandular fever and recovered within 2 weeks then i got it from him due to kissing. I am curious that he might of cheated on me because so far, on the interent, i have found that the only way to get it is from kissing. However, my Boyfriend said that his doctor told him that you can also get it from doing too much (e.g working) and im just wondering that is he telling the truth?

Please write back asap.

I dont actually understand the situation at all here. What ever makes you think he's cheated on you. Like the doctor said, he caught it from doing too much work or something etc, passed it onto you and now you've got it. But I would like to know what it is. But I personaly wouldn't have thought he would be cheating on you.

the thing that makes me think hes cheating on me is that you can only get it by kissing so it made me think he must of got it from another girl.

How is glandular fever contracted?

The infection is caused by the Epstein-Barr virus, which is transferred from one person to another in saliva. Kissing is one obvious way by which the disease can be transmitted. However, the infection is also spread via airborne droplets.

I had it when I was younger and I don't think it was from kissing, easily caught if someone coughs around you. Don't worry. :)

If you are concerned that you could have caught if off of him, the best thing to do is either go to your doctor or tell your parents. They'll probably help to ease your mind.

However, about the whole boyfriend cheating. Don't think we can help with that ;) lol

Being very reasonable, only you can decide if hes cheating or not.
