Now i can actually log back in here i'll post what i've posted on other forums, saves me typing it all again. :p

Well, with 80% of the graphic work needed for this project completed, i can start putting the minihotel parts together into some kind of workable website, part of which is "useable" (i use the term loosley) and available to try out.
The current stage is more of a test to see if anyone has any compatibility problems, if i can catch these problems early on it'll save me a lot of work later down the line.

Feature-wise it's nothing spectacular, the mouseover images are there and the fdb link (top right corner) shows a simple test animation and links to my main site, again for people to test that it does what it's supposed to do. Nonetheless it gives a rough idea of how the site will work once completed. :)

I'm still currently working on the various screen animations and will probably still be working on these for a little while (there are 42 seperate animations to complete, done about 6 so far lol), the basic one shown with the fdb link is roughly how the final animations will work although a little more interesting to look at.

So, what i need to know from you folks is how the site works overall, do the rollovers show properly? Does the test animation screen show and the link work from the fdb button? Or does the site even load at all?

The following url will open a very basic blank page with a link, this link will open the main test page.
PLEASE NOTE: This site is designed for resolutions of 1024x768 and above only, anyone using a size smaller than this will not view the site properly!

Any feedback on this much appreciated. :)

I did the images used for this site, there's a thread in Habbo related alts about it. :)

In a word, kinda. :p
My original idea was to have the site load each hotels .dcr directly, however, as i don't want to be tied up with day to day running of the site, i decided to keep it so each link will just open each hotels homepage instead, not just for T&C reasons but to also save me the hassle of having to change the url to the .dcr file whenever it's updated.

As also mentioned in my main post, this is just a test to make sure there are no loading problems etc, the site itself has other sections that haven't been created yet which is why the links don't work.

In a way, thats how the site should work, i never really intended to have links like that in the site, but after making the fdb in the corner as a signiature i had the idea of adding a few more link names in order to give the site some more content, the idea is that the user will find the first couple and go hunting around for the rest, each normal link will have it's own vidscreen animation as well as for each hotel so that should be more than enough info for whoever uses the site. At some stage i'll make some of the small background buildings into links to other fansites that stand out above the rest. :)

Nope, in fact the parts i used for the whole scene are available to download from my site either in .psd or .gif format, they were all redrawn in a reduced state the same way i made the mini hotels. Glad you like them though. :)

Thanks for the feedback so far, the people i really want to hear from as well are those on Diallup, especially things like loading times, this will be more of a problem later on as i have over 40 seperate animations to add as well as another 4 sections to the site itself, hopefully the little loader game i've added will help to pass the time. ;)

Hello.

I think this site is intruiging as well as amazing.

First of all your Graphic skills are top range with the Cinema 4D skills you have and it seems like you know how to code in Shockwave Lingo as you have a functional DCR ready which loads. Although the site is based on Habbo Hotel I will still be happy to see what it looks like when it is done.

Good luck with your site and hopefully it prospers above all other fansites.

Thanks
Dan

Navigation is a little bit tricky, you should think about making the text stand out more.

Edit:
I can't see there being any compatibility issues other than pop-up blockers or some people not having shockwave player installed (but your target audience will have, seeing as Habbo require it).

There will be animations for each of the sub links as well as the hotels, this should identify what's being pointed at, however i could add a similar border as i have with the hotels if need be. :)
The main entrance page will have some basic info letting non-habbo viewers what they'll need to view the site as well as a basic shockwave detect for those who just click without looking. ;)
