Why take a gcse in year 9 and get a B which you may be happy with, or, wait until year 11 and get A*

I was offered to do an expressive arts GCSE because im on the gifted and talented register but i declined as im not very good at art. I am doing a sociology one though and its very interesting.

but i was asked to do it for science and we did work that was 2 yrs older than we shud have dun and it was SUPER EASY

Are you allowed to take your GCSEs early? I was told/thought you had to wait like everyone else. Plus if you wait until year 10/11, you'll be more knowledgeable for the exam.
