where did you learn to build websites?

where did you all learn to build websites? a few of you seem to have a wide knowledge on them and I was just curious. Is it self taught or university etc?

Thats how I learnt, you just mess about with Dreamweaver and programs like that, and you learn really fast!

Either by just picking up Dreamweaver by using it regularly or tutorials.

I got most of my webdesign knowledge from College, the coding side of things i knew a little about anyway from bits and bobs on the web, but i'm not ashamed to say it, i had easily the best webdesign tutor anyone could have, the guy designed stuff for Peter Gabriel, the BBC (which his team won a BAFTA award for design) and a whole string of other cool stuff, his awards list was the length of your arm! I have a lot to thank that guy for, he's the reason i design sites the way i do... :)

I learn't from tutorials.... I learn't loads of PHP in 2 months. Lol. Everyone thinks I'm amazing that I'm so good at the age of 12. Loooool
