Some of us have had it. Some haven't. I haven't had it yet, I don't think I want to, though friends tell me it's more deadlier and worse the older than you, and it's better to get it at a younger age. My friend got it last year, most of my friends and family members have had it as a child. I only know 2 friends, and my mother who hasn't had it. My sister had it when she was 18-20 I think. >_< Why am I also told that you could die from it if you get it at an older age? Or is this myth?
So who has had it and who hasn't? And if you had it, what can you tell me about it, like on how to avoid it/catch it? I don't wanna know about that lotion, and how itchy it is. Had my good friend that had it last year whinge about it on the phone heaps. ;P

I had it when I was about four, as in terms of catching it that is a bit taboo in my opinion, yiou either get it or you dont.
I think you can die from it, depends really ont your age and health condition etc.
And thats about it except that I have noot seen you around for ages ^_^ so hello :P

I had it when I was about 3, I caught it from nusery. I don't think that you can avoid it really, just stay away from infected people I guess. Its not 'deadly' just worse and if your older you usually get shingles instead which only effects one part of the body.. i think, I don't know much though sorry :(

lol g'day. I always linger around for a bit if I have time or get bored. :P Hmm, all I know is that if someone has it, and you haven't got it, and you go near someone that has it, you can catch it from them o_O Well I haven't had it yet, so I guess I should keep it up? Whenever I get mosquito bites, I don't scratch them even they're itchy, but if I had pox, oh dear, I don't know what I'd do. :P
EDIT -
Ahh thanks Clarissa. :P Makes me feel more vulnerable since everyone had it at a younger age (so far!) Heh, infected people...Well I haven't known anyone for a while to have it except last year for my friend, but yeh cause most I know have had it.. ._o

Very itchy.
I've got a mark on my arm where i scratched soo much on one area of the arm.
They start off white and go red then finally dissapear :P
I don't really know much myself about what the effects are when you get Chicken pox when your an elderly person.

You haven't had chicken pox? How old are you, two?
Logic & knowledge are of the most, but you simply don't have them ^^
It varies whether or not you get it. If you weren't transmitted with it when you were younger then you wouldn't have got it, its a thing where you literally catch it off people who have it. What they do in my brothers nursery, if one kid catches it, the teachers urge that the parents send there kids in to catch it too :p Rofl, sounds funny but its better catching it when you younger than you are older.
If I were you, just check with you GP and see if you can get it over and done with, t'would be the best option I think :eusa_thin

Ignorance is a sad, sad thing.
You can live your whole life without getting chicken pox.

Yes, maybe if you live inside a plastic bubble - but sadly the majority of people don't, and they're exposed to other people who have chicken pox, hence they get them (bringing you back to my comment, as normally most people get them when they're young).
It goes by if you've been infected with it more than anything. Its a rash that you catch if you've been intercepted with people who have it or are carrying it. I suppose its the luck of the draw really, but I can't really remember going through the stages of itching etc..luckily.

I had chicken pox when i was 2/3
Chickenpox, which occurs most often in the late winter and early spring, is very contagious - if exposed to an infected family member, about 80% to 90% of those in a household who haven't had chickenpox will get it. However, immunization of children with the chickenpox vaccine that's now available is expected to decrease cases of the disease dramatically over the next few years.
Although it's more common in kids under the age of 15, anyone can get chickenpox. A person usually has only one episode of chickenpox in his or her lifetime.
I had it when i was in the infants at primary school, it woz horrid, hard to not itch. Yet i got over it, (my bro caught it from me hehe). Yeh it is slightly more serious if you get another version of chicken pox wen ur older

I've had it and no you can't die from it when your older.
When you get chicken pox when you older it turns to Shingles (Sp) and it feels like you have very bad sunburn all over. It's worse but you'll live.

Shingles. Can last for ages. My Grandma received it in November, she still has it. Its all the nerve endings breaking off or something. Its much worse that Chickenpox. You can put clothing on, well you can put it will hurt ALOT.

I had it when I was six months, and of course I don't remember it.
Unfortunatly, my mum caught it off of me, and suffered quite badly from it, her whole body ached, she had a fever, and felt lethargic.
The symptons are probably pretty simular to catching the average 'bug', minus the vomiting, but plus itching, it can be extremeley uncomfortable and irritating, but don't itch too much, because you'll get scars!
Chicken pox can spread into your mouth, or other internal parts of the body, which happened to my uncle, pretty gross.
