Thats exactly why you can't swallow them, if swalloing tablets is a first for some people, we tend to think about the tablet lodging in our throat. When I first started to swallow headache tablets I thought the same, and when you think about it it makes your throat seaze up which makes it difficult to swallow.
If you simply just get a glass of water, whack one in your mouth at a time and just swallow fast, it'll go down. There not a large tablet either, quite easy when you get the gist of it :)

I could't swallow tablets until around 6 months ago :P
Just drink some water normally and then take another sip and put tablet in at same time and just swallow.

I used to be like this :P Just get like some juice, put it on your tounge, and get lots of drink in your mouth and swallow, don't even think about the fact there's a tablet :)

Okay, I have A.D.H.D and I take concerta XL 36 Mg tablets.

Put it on your tongue, While drinking curl your tounge up.

erm, try putting cheese whiz or peanut butter or something on a spoon, put the tablet inside the stuff and make sure you cant see it, then eat it and just swalllow, or eat all the cheese whiz or something and then it makes the pill slipperyer [sp..] and if you swallow it just goes down.

I used to have this problem and the most randomest thing happened. I was in Newcaslte shopping with my mam and my aunty and i had a really bad head so my mam gave me some tablets and a bottle of diet coke and lemon and i put them on my tounge and they just went. I was like getting all excited. Try it, lols.

I take them with fizzy pop.
Sounds strange and you probably arent meant to. But I do because I cant feel the tablet going down.
I like taking small ones that dont taste of anything.
You can get some tablets that you suck on or eat like a sweet.
And then you can also get different tablets for different reasons that dissolve in your drink.
Or you could just use medicene if you dont like any of them ideas.

Get liquid in your mouth put the tablet in so it is floating in your mouth so therefore cannot taste it then swallow like a peice of food

Look, it may sound hard but its not
its just like sucking on a sweet and gulping the left over piece down.
Just pop the tablet in your mouth first.
Fill it up with your drink, and swallow it fast
The longer you keep it in your mouth, the more it shall stay there and its less likely to be swallowed.
Or you could put the tablet in your drink even if its not a dissolving tablet.

I've managed to swallow a tablet once, I tipped my head back as far as I could and jumped while swallowing and it went down, but it kinda hurt, so I stick to the dissolving tablets if I have to take anything ^_^ I prefer not to take medication though, lowers your natural immune system.

I used to have this problem too. I tried crushing them or letting them dissolve and that helped a little bit. I would give you some tips on how i got to be able to take them but it was really random how i did. I was in a shop in Newcastle and i had a bottle of Diet Coke Lemon and i put them on my tounge and they just went down. So maybe try that. I can take them easy now.
