View Full Version : Aching Back
Hey all.
My back has had stabbing pains since yday afternoon when I was in ICT and I nearly fell of my chair because it was broken. I think I might have pulled it but most of it I can feel on a rib :S
Does anyone know how on Earth to calm down my pain?

My goodness, I had this problem when I slipt over in football, but I dunno if its the same thing. When you fell off your chair, did you make a wierd noise you couldn't control? If so, my problem was a nerve has wrapped round my spine. The doctor said it could take up to a couple of weeks to heel? So if thats the problem, dont do P.E or games and rest. :)

Theres lots of muscles in your back that may have been affected by your accident. Pulling and straining ligaments & tendons could be a prime cause to your pains. If you fell awkwardly, then straining a ligament may be the answer. Whether how bad you have strained it depends on the effect its taken and how long it will last for. If this is the answer, i'd makesure to see the Doc. for a valid answer and more help into why you have the pains and how to cure them.
Straining ligaments & tendons can last from a week to a couple months depending on how much you exercise the muscles.
Hope you get better :)

Try getting a heatpack and placing it on the pain on your back. They can be cold or hot so even if you don't have one just put something out the freezer on. You could also try taking some painkillers. If it doesn't feel any better in a couple of days try going to see a doctor and he may be able to help you more.
I said it's gone now ppl stop giving advice xDD
