Ok, so i've started it, haven't done much, read it please :)
Chapter 1 : The wind blew.
The wind blew at her frozen skin, brushing past slowly, as she stood still. She tried to move, but with no avail. Something slowly progressed towards her as Amber tried to throw herself away from the fixed position she was captive in. The mysterious beast moved towards her, faster now, he was far away from her, but she could already sense his presence. Her throat held tightly together, concealing her waiting scream. Warmth reached her senses, but not her warmth. It came into view, raging, teeth at the ready. Saliva dripping from it’s perfectly deadly teeth. It, the beast, wanting her. Almost calling her death. Its eyes glowing in the silent darkness. It was like a dream, she could not move, although she tried with all her strength. The ferocious creature let out a piercing scream, as he saw Amber struggling for her life. Her hand suddenly moved and reached for her pocket. She drew a crystal, and held it tightly, hoping it could save her. Saliva dripped onto her waiting body, as the beast hovered above her, growling in satisfaction. It’s sharp claws played on her face, looking at her in awe. It whispered, in another language, unfamiliar to her, but she understood it perfectly.
‘Goodbye, my child.’
A surge passed through her body and her eyes opened.
The instant sunlight from her bedroom window passed into her stunned eyes. She was panting, sweat dripping from her face. Little cuts were indented in her hand, where the crystal had been. She looked up and jumped suddenly.
‘Same dream again, huh?’ Asked a tall, dark haired boy.
‘Yes, Alex. Same dream. It stopped exactly when he said, you know what I mean, Alex.’ Replied Amber.
‘Same Amber, maybe it’s just because we’re related?’
‘It’s unlikely, but I suppose.’ The door flew open abruptly, a little plump man waddled in, with a stern look upon his face. Alex and Amber stood still, like they had in their dream, and dared to move.
‘Stand up straight, you dirty children. How dare you not stand up straight for your Father. You shame me. Now, your Mother has gone away for a while, and she said “I love you both”, I don’t know why she loves you, you are probably the reason she left.’ The children looked at each other, their eyes glistening, not with hope, but sheer sadness. They knew their Mother was not coming back, she had left many times before, and came back, but this time she had left them that message. Almost a goodbye. With that, the man stormed out the room, leaving the smell of dirt, and a sense of evil. Alex urgently looked at Amber.
‘Amber, something really weird has happened. I woke up, with a crystal in my hand.’ He reached down for his pyjama pocket, and pulled out a beautiful crystal, enlaced on a slender piece of purple string. ‘I don’t know how it got there, but it got there somehow.’
‘Alex, it was only a dream!’ Amber looked at him, his eyes were truthful, she knew he wasn’t lying.
‘Check your pocket, please, just do it.’ Amber hesitated slightly, she didn’t want the dream to be true. Amber quickly put her hand into her pocket, and instantly took it out.
‘Nothing, sorry, nothing.’ A lump was bulging in her pocket, and Alex looked at her, in disbelief of her petty fear towards a crystal. She sighed and pulled the crystal out, it shone in the light, glowing in her hand.
Water dripped repeatedly on Alex’ head. Drip, drip, drip. His eyes opened slowly, and he could not recognise the scene. Drains intervened on the ceiling, grime encrusted on their rusty surface. He turned to notice Amber, laying still, the crystal still in her hand. He rushed towards her, worried something was wrong. She didn’t seem to be breathing. He looked at his sister, and thought to himself, ‘What if I’ve lost her?’
‘BOO!’ Screamed Amber. Alex jumped back in fear!
‘Amber! Don’t scare me like that! Oh my god!’ He growled under his breath. ‘I thought you were dead! How the hell did we get here?’
‘If it wasn’t for your stupid crystal then we would still be at home! It was obviously the crystal!’ A look of anger, planted on her face.
‘Don’t try and blame this all on me! It’s not my fault!’ He pushed past her and signed at her, the signal to follow him. The tunnel stank, and they had to trudge through dirty water. There were weird indents in the wall, symbols, impossible to make sense of. They moved slowly, pacing their steps, the journey seemed longer than a lifetime. Strange animals pasted them, some under their feet, some swooping through the dirty air. Not a word was spoken, until he appeared.
Chapter 2 : A light appeared.
A light appeared at the end of the tunnel, and a shadowed figure seemed to walk towards them. His blonde hair, moving softly with the wind, his blue eyes meeting theirs. He observed Alex, looking at his dark hair, and wondering if mystery lay inside of him. His eyes then fixed on Amber, her hazel eyes reflecting beauty from within. Alex stared at him in fear, who was this person? Amber just watched him move slowly towards them.
‘Hello, I am Daniel. I bid you welcome to our land. Alex, and Amber, you have been summoned here, by our king. Lord Luther Killheart. Although we do not like to claim him as our king, he has taken over the land, and wishes for your powers. Powers within, that you do not yet know of. I understand you dream of The Beast.’
‘...Daniel, I don’t understand. How do you know us?’ Asked Alex.
‘Yeah, Daniel. And plus, we have no powers, we are just humans, there’s nothing special about that, you’re a human...’ Questioned Amber.
‘A human, yes you are. But as you asked, that is no power in itself, but when used wisely, great power can prevail.’ The siblings looked at each other, wondering what Daniel was talking about. He was talking about them having great power, but this meant that every human on the earth had powers just like them.
