Any vBull users reccemend the shoutbox? to add to your forum, as i was thinking about asking my licencse & forum owner for the vBull i manage to download one for me to install? post your views

I had it once on Habbling

It kept disconnecting users and it deems to be abused by moderators deleting shouts and such.

Also it uses alot of of b/width. ;)

That's why when HxF had it they put it down the bottom of the forum as it give priority to the forums to load :)

It did, got users banned though due to abusing it by flooding it and such. :P

I don't see why they don't just delete people who have not been active for 60 days surely that will speed up the forum a little bit and reduce some disk space and some bandwidth.

It's good cause people can chat live and faster to each other I had one on y vbulletin. :)

instead of a shoutbox, you could get flash chat or another chat and intergrate it with the forum.
Its alot better and its more "live" as its instant like an IM.

They're too stuck up with the thought that if they delete users, they won't look as popular :|

The shoutbox is a great addition, but i've found people come on my forum just to use the shoutbox.

Mmmm, I used to have a shoutbox. I think flash chat is alot better and its only $5 ;)

i think shoutbox is only good at the start so people can get to know one another.
Later on it gets abused alot and costs to much bandwidth and slows forum.
